AMEX and Chase Cards not Updating

I started my current position in January 2022 and at the time was told that transactions on our AMEX cards were not updating to our Quickbooks account. After calling to figure out a fix I was told that this was a global issue within Quickbooks and it would hopefully be fixed with the next update. Now it is October and I have received a "Product Notification" message from Quickbooks every month or so telling me that it has not been resolved which is correct- I am still having to upload all of my AMEX transaction manually, which is a pain and leaves more room for error in our accounting.

A couple of weeks ago, we received a new error on our Chase cards saying that they were not properly connected to our account. After calling again and troubleshooting with the customer service rep, I was told that this was not an isolated issue and had to do with how the bank was connecting to Quickbooks. Now I have received yet another Product Notification email telling me that the Chase issue has not been resolved and I am feeling like this is going to be my fate forever.

Has anyone else been having these issues? Is there a way to fix it through the credit card accounts themselves? I have gotten to the point where I don't feel like the AMEX problem is ever going to be fixed and now the Chase is doing the same thing.

AMEX and Chase Cards not Updating

We understand the frustration of not having this function as expected and the importance of resolving it as quickly as possible, @FROG2.

I've checked here on our end, and we currently have an ongoing investigation about Chase Bank's not syncing with QuickBooks. Our product engineers are doing their best to fix this as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support Team. This way, you'll be added to the list of affected users and receive further updates through email. You can have them add you to the investigation number (INV-78465).

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Click the Search tab.
  3. Press Contact Us at the bottom part.
  4. Enter "Chase credit card account is not updating in QuickBooks" in the What can we help you with? box.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Select Chat with us or Have us call you.

Additionally, for your American Express account issue, may I know if you received a specific error code? Any information can help us determine the root cause of the problem and know the best steps to take.

I'm also sharing these resources below to give you more insights on what to do if transactions are not updating and fixing banking errors in QBO:

Once the transactions are in, you can now categorize and match them in QuickBooks. It is to make your data accurate.

I'm looking forward to hearing about this being resolved. Let me know if you have other banking concerns, and I'm always here to help. Take care.

AMEX and Chase Cards not Updating

Thank you for your speedy response, Maybelle. Unfortunately I was already signed up to receive updates for both the AMEX and Chase issues and I find it difficult to believe that it is a priority to fix the AMEX issue when it has remained unsolved for the past 9 months and that does not bode well for me for the Chase account either.
