Balances and Reconciling

My "QuickBooks" balance and my "Bank" balance are different by a substantial amount. It was suggested to me to reconcile in order to correct such a large difference. When I went to reconcile, the difference showed $0.00. I do not understand how that can be the case. Previously, I was encountering an issue with my invoices "throwing" my balances off by a lot, I never changed anything. Yet, now the reconciliation is equaled out.

Please, someone reach out and make this make sense to me!

Possible reasons for your QuickBooks Balance and Bank balance to differ is incorrect opening balance. This is the account's starting point you set when your first create it in your QBO account.
