Good Morning. I am setting up a new client with Direct Connect on the QB Desktop version. After confirming her account in my online system and entering the User ID and PW the user is prompted to create a new PW. After creating the new PW she keeps getting error OLSU 1034. See screenshot below. I can't find anything out about this error. Please help!
Good morning, too, Steven!
Let me help you connect your bank account.
You will want to contact your bank account to activate your direct connect service, and ask if you'll need special sign-in credentials for it. If you'll get a new one, you can use it to connect your account. Check more information about setting up bank feeds in QuickBooks.
You can always go back to this thread if you have other questions about banking feeds.
Hi Jess! Thanks for getting back to me. The service is all set on the bank's end. We are just encountering that error after the user enters/confirms her new PW in QuickBooks. It won't let us progress from there and I can't find any info on what that error means. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'll share the steps that can resolve LSU errors in QuickBooks. Here's how:

I was the QB client that Steven was writing about. I did have some inactive accounts with bank feeds so I made all of the feeds inactive as well as the accounts. It still didn't work. I did QB support chat and then got a call and while we were going through we discovered that in order to make this work you must be in Single User Mode. My file is on a server and we have multiple users. Once I changed to single user it was able to go through. I wish there was a specific help for error OLSU-1034 saying to be sure you are in single user. It would have saved us a few hours yesterday.
