To give you the best solution, which bank are you having update issues with? This way, I can check if there are any open investigations about it.

 

Your bank’s connection may be interrupted for any of the following reasons:

 

  • If there is a minor or major update in your bank information such as the bank account number.
  • An update on your bank’s website. If you can't find your FI, you can request support for your bank and request it be added.
  • Update in your Online Banking Login credentials.
  • Bank outage and other scheduled maintenance.

For now, let's refresh your financial institution's connection, here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Bank accounts.
  3. Click Refresh All button.
  4. You can do this 2 or 3 times.

Been trying to connect to my bank for several weeks now and it's just not working. Any suggestions?

Thanks it's US Bank.  I did chat with a QuickBooks Specialist last week (October 13) and we tried several things and weren't able to get it to connect.  He said he would send the case over to the engineering department and they would look into my QuickBooks account and the connections to try and resolve it and I'd then be updated by email.  Haven't heard anything since then.

Thank you for your prompt reply, as well as for sharing an update on your situation.

 

Since you've contacted our Technical Support team before, I suggest you contact them again and do a follow-up. If you still have the summary email sent by the previous chat support representative, you can reply to it. If you wish to connect with them, you can follow the steps in this article: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support

 

While you wait for the fix, you have the option to import your bank transactions. This way, you can keep your bank account within QuickBooks Self-Employed up to date. Follow the steps listed in this article: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
