Can I expand the date range of transactions I selected when I linked my accounts?

When I linked accounts I only picked 2024 transactions but would now like to have 2023 transactions showing. My bank doesn't give me the option to export 2023 transactions in CSV, I can only download the 2023 statements in PDF. Will I have to unlink and re-link?

I'd be happy to assist you with bringing your transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO), Robinson.

Once your bank account is linked to online banking in QBO, we retrieve as much of your transaction data as possible. The amount of data we can fetch when you first connect an account depends on your bank and typically covers a period of 30 to 90 days. If you need to import data that precedes this period, you'll have to export it from your bank first and then import it into your QBO account.

As for the file types supported for import in QBO, you can only upload transactions from a CSV or Quicken (QFX) file. If your file is in a different format, you can use an online converter to change it to a CSV or Quicken (QFX) file.

Once your file is ready, here's how to manually upload your transactions:

  1. In the left menu, click Transactions and go to the Bank transactions tab.
  2. Choose the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Select the Link account▼ dropdown, then select Upload from file. Note: If your account is not connected yet to online banking, select Upload from file.
  4. Choose Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then, select Continue.
  5. In the QuickBooks account▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then, select Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then select Continue.
  7. Select the transactions you like to import. Then select Continue.
  8. Select Yes then, Done.

If you encounter an error message when uploading transactions, you can refer to this article for troubleshooting: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

If you require further assistance with managing your QuickBooks account, feel free to reach out. I'm here to help, Robinson. Have a great day!

When linking the account to bank feed, it only goes back maximum of 90 days. You will have to manually upload csv file.

@robiGoCO

You can use pdf2qbo converter tool as a workaround.
