Buy nowHi there, @PTOC. We’re sorry you’ve been caught in that loop between QuickBooks and Bank of America about your issue. While Nessi's workaround is a great temporary fix, please contact our Live Support team again so they can investigate this issue further. Be sure to check their support hours to know when they're available.
Should you have any other concerns, feel free to reach out.
QuickBooks is a terrorist organization. They are having a massive pissing match with Bank of America, so all the responses on here about "oh, gosh, thanks, that fix worked" are bullsh*t. We have 2 credit cards with BofA -- QB will import transactions from one of them but not the other. As of today, 04/17/26, you can only download a csv/excel file. If you use an online converter to convert from csv to qbo, QB won't allow you to import it (won't recognize BofA as a financial institution because apparently BofA may have brought cheap wine to the last Thanksgiving with QB. Allegedly.). Spent 4 hours yesterday trying to coax The Devil Known As QB to play nice. Resorted to paying about $2,000 yesterday upgrading from my prior QB desktop version to the only QB desktop version now available (Enterprise), because I strongly suspected that they were slowly poisoning features to force everyone to Online (convince me I'm wrong). Today, I spent an hour on the phone with QB (File Doctor, ToolHub, Pain, Suffering, Great Gnashing of Teeth, etc.). Then called BofA which said, "The First Rule of QB is we don't talk about QB" -- they literally said they were instructed not to talk about QuickBooks and they could not help at all, about anything, including commiserating about how ugly and awful QB is. Someone needs to sue the daylights out of QuickBooks. Maybe someone already has, thus the BofA comment. In the meantime, I have a year before Enterprise goes away (surely it will, even though they *promised* it won't -- that's another lie from these bozos), and I'm going to use that year to find another financial accounting software that isn't in divorce proceedings with one of the largest banks in the United States, trying to get custody of a sad little brown-eyed puppy who just needs to import their effing transaction data. Death (and taxes and lawsuits and evil looks) to QuickBooks -- they are truly the AntiChrist!! Is it wrong to post this in all of their community forums...?
BofA no longer gives QBO as an option to download -- it's csv/excel only at this point. I converted the csv to QBO (using an online converter), but when I open the QBO in Notepad, IntuBid does not even show up in the notepad doc. (I used to use this exact workaround a few years ago, but maybe when you convert from csv to QBO, it deletes the IntuBid??)
