Can't download transactions with connected feed

We have our bank feed set up ... we have the lightening bolt on the account in the Chart of Accounts.  However, when we go to "Download Transactions" ... it prompts us to enter the banking password and when we do, we get an Error Code:  OL-332 "Fifth Third Bank didn't recognize your sign in information.  Make sure your user ID, password or PIN is correct" and then prompts us to call the bank.  All credentials are correct.  We can log into the bank website just fine.  We have researched this error code and called the bank numerous times and they can't help us.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you!

Can't download transactions with connected feed

I'll be glad to assist you with your banking concern, @Kathy D.

There several reasons why you're getting this kind of error in QuickBooks.

One of them is that you have pending alerts on your online bank account that you need to acknowledge. You can address this by signing in to your bank’s website outside of QuickBooks, and check if you don’t have any pending alerts.

It's also possible that there's an issue with your Internet connection. Make sure that you’re connected to the Internet, and your Windows firewall isn’t blocking your connection to QuickBooks

In addition, check your Internet security requirements. Internet Explorer and QuickBooks use the TLS 1.2 security protocol to secure your data when connecting to your bank.

Follow these steps to check the TLS settings in Internet Explorer:

  1. Click the Gear icon ⚙ and select Internet options.
  2. Click Advanced, and scroll down to the Security section.
  3. See if you have TLS 1.2 checked. If not, select the box to turn it on.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Exit all open applications on your computer.
  6. Restart your computer, then try to download your transactions.

If you still get the error, reach out back to your bank's support with a copy of your Bank Feeds log. This will show you the record of what happens during an online connection with your bank.

If the connection fails or an error is received, the logs can help pinpoint the failure. These log files are saved in the same location as your company data file, such as C:\Users\Public\Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files.

In the meantime, you can download (.qbo) files to your computer. These files are online banking transactions from your Bank’s website. You can import these transactions so they become available in your Bank Feeds.

Once your transactions are imported to QuickBooks, you can now categorize them.
