Can't manually import .qbo bank transactions file

I chose the file .QBO for the transactions to be exported. However, the file comes over as a pdf.  This is happening on a couple different banks. How can I fix this?

Can't manually import .qbo bank transactions file

Greetings, @melissanoe00.

It's a pleasure to have you here in the Community. I'm here to help make sure that you can import your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Just to confirm, when you say the file comes over as a pdf, do you mean it exported in a PDF format? If so, it's possible that your bank only supports that file format.

Right now, QBO only supports CSV, QBO, OFX, and QFX files when uploading bank transactions into the program. Since you have a PDF copy, you'll first need to convert it to one of the supported file formats. You can try searching online or visit the Intuit Apps Store to see if there are free converters compatible with QBO. Here's the link: https://apps.intuit.com/.

Once you successfully converted them, you can refer to these articles for the detailed steps on how to import your bank transactions:

That's it! Please let me know how it goes or if you're referring to something else by leaving a comment on this thread. I'm always here if you have any follow-up questions. Take care and have a wonderful day.
