Cleared check images

I am trying to catch up prior years bank feed activity. Would I be able to see cleared check images in quickbooks instead of the bank since they don’t keep the images online for too long?

Cleared check images

Yes, you can, Salessio0564.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) has partnered with selected banks that allow you to download check transactions, including the check images. To verify if your financial institution is supported, I suggest reaching out to them.

Moreover, please note that some banks only allow you to download the last 90 days of transactions, while others can provide up to 24 months of data.

Let's ensure the prior entries are already downloaded in the program. If so, I recommend following these steps to start viewing the images:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. From the For review tab, select the transaction you want to view the check image for.
  3. In the Attachments column, look at the transactions that have a number.
  4. Select the image name, then view the check image in the Explore sidebar.

Otherwise, you'll have to download the transactions from your bank (CSV format). Verify with your financial institution if there's a way to include the images. Then, manually upload the file into QBO.

Once done, repeat the steps above to view the pictures (if you successfully download the transactions with the check images).

Additionally, I've added these resources that can help you use rules to automatically categorize the entries and ensure your bank statement matches your QuickBooks account:

The thread is always open if you have questions or need further assistance downloading transactions and categorizing the entries. I'm always here to assist you.

Cleared check images

The bank feeds are currently in quickbooks. Do the check images come through the bank feed automatically or is there an additional step to get the images in quickbooks? Also, do you know if TD Bank is one of the banks offering this service?

Cleared check images

Good afternoon, @Salessio0564

Thanks for reaching back out to the Community!

The check images should come automatically through the Online Banking Feed if the bank is offering this service. To confirm if you're bank is offering this service or not, I recommend getting in touch with them.

In the meantime, you can check out this guide to help you out in the future: Connect bank and credit cards in QBO

I'm only a post away if you have any other questions. Take care!
