That doesn’t answer my. Question. I know how to do that. If I use plaid to link my Quickbooks checking account what bank do I choose from the list? Green Dot bank won’t let me connect unless I have an account directly through them.
Thanks for getting back to us, @powerdriveexpres.
I'll share some information about Plaid and QuickBooks. Plaid enables companies that need access to your financial data, like Gusto, TransferWise, and American Express, to verify and communicate with your bank account.
That said, you'll want to connect your Financial Institutions' account to QuickBooks to automatically sync transaction data between the two. Just follow the above steps on how to connect.
Additionally, here's a link that covers all the tasks you can do when using the banking feature in QuickBooks: Find help with bank feeds and reconciling accounts.
Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns with bank account connections. I'm more than happy to assist you. Take care and have a nice day ahead.
What you’re not understanding is that the question pertains to connecting with books as a checking account to a service that needs to access the QuickBooks checking account. Plaid is used to do this but we don’t know what type of account to select for the QuickBooks checking account as the financial institution. I really hope this question comes across clearly.
Hi, I am also trying to connect my QBO checking account with my Gusto account to run payroll. It looks like Plaid does not recognize Quickbooks as an option and we have to connect manually. That process is fine, but it takes 1-2 days and if the account ever has problems transferring funds it can take days before the issue is resolved. With small business, days are very costly.
Is it possible to connect a QBO Checking account from a third party website using Plaid?
I have some details that I want to share with the QuickBooks Checking account and Plaid, PiMios.
For now, connecting both is unavailable. I would suggest you reach out to Plaid Support for your QuickBooks Checking account to be added as an institution. While QuickBooks Online (QBO) integrates with different kinds of business apps, you'll want to search for an app that is right for your needs.
Furthermore, once you've connected your bank and credit card accounts in QuickBooks, learn how it downloads the latest transactions, It tries to look for a match with those you've already entered in QuickBooks. For more information, read this article for more details: Categorize And Match Online Bank Transactions In QuickBooks Online.
Ping me if you have further questions about the QuickBooks Checking account. I'll always be here to help.
You can signup for a Melio account for free to use it as a connector between Plaid and QBO to make or receive payments,

Hi, I'm trying to transfer funds using our Mercury.com accounts to our new QBO checking account, but Plaid does not appear to offer a connection to "Quickbooks", "QBO", "Quicken" or "Intuit" and, maybe because it's a new account, QBO won't 'request the funds' from our current checking (with Mercury.com) either. How do I transfer funds to our new QBO checking account?
Thank you for joining this discussion, cary. I'm delighted to have you participate in our community, and I greatly appreciate your engagement on this topic. I'm here to ensure you can transfer funds between your accounts smoothly and efficiently. Managing finances and moving money between different accounts is a crucial aspect of running a business, and we want to make this process as straightforward as possible for you.
You have the ability to directly connect your Mercury account to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Checking account. This integration is designed to streamline your financial management by allowing you to transfer funds efficiently between these two platforms. Below, I'll guide you through the process step-by-step, ensuring you'll effectively link your Mercury account to your QBO Checking:
Once you connected, you can now transfer funds into your QuickBooks Checking account. Let me walk you through the process:

I'm still ready to assist if you have additional questions about transferring funds into your Checking account, cary. Your financial management is important to us, and we want to ensure you have all the information and support you need to handle your transactions efficiently.
These instructions are a bit outdated, so I encourage QBO to update this information. After 10 more minutes, I found that I had to manually send funds from my financial institution. Unfortunately. Mercury.com does not appear to be a financial platform that's connected with QBO yet.
Just so everyone knows -- no matter how many times we repeat this question to QuickBooks support, they still don't seem to be understanding the question.
As of right now, October 2024, it seems we cannot connect with our Quickbooks Checking accounts via plaid. The QB Checking accounts are provided through Green Dot Bank (trade name: Go2Bank) and even though they DO offer integration via Plaid if you have an account directly with Go2Bank, they do NOT currently support connecting the accounts they provide in Quickbooks checking.
It's really frustrating to have to ask 100 different support people 100 different times and still have zero of them understand what their customers are asking, but, I finally got someone who sounded like they understood and they confirmed this is not currently available.
IMPORTANT: Most financial apps DO let you connect via manual connection with 2 verification transactions, but yes, it does mean we miss out on things like fast transfers, real-time balance data, etc.
