I am trying to deactivate bank feeds for an account. The routing number, account number and account customer ID are all incorrect. They are a combination of letters and numbers and I can't remove them.
Every time I select deactivate all online services I get unrecoverable error message [removed] and QuickBooks shuts down. I tried reordering the lists and it didn't help. I tried creating a new account and merging and it won't let me because it says the account and routing numbers can not have letters.
Good job for performing some troubleshooting steps ahead, fcraig.
Let's run the Verify and Rebuild Data utilities to ensure there are no integrity issues and the company file is error free.
Here’s how:
Then, we can merge the accounts again. Let’s make sure that there are no existing transactions on the account where you’ll move the information to. Please follow the steps in the Solution 2: Merge the account with a new one section of the article.
We can review your Chart of Accounts (Ctrl + A) afterwards to verify if the lightning bolt of the bank account you'll want to disconnect disappeared.
Let me know if there's anything else that you need help with.
I have encountered the same exact error over the weekend. I too followed the steps mentioned in this and other threads and even tried manually exporting my COA, updating the IIF file to set the flag to N, but the reimport failed. I also tried activating my bank by logging in, but I received an error there as well. I was chatting with support (Jeziel Ann B) before they abruptly ended it, but the end result was that QuickBooks would not help with this issue unless I upgraded to the $299 subscription or $49 for a one time call, even though it seems like it is a pervasive issue. Any other advice?
