I've heard your sentiments about the new invoice layout that's been rolling out in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @jnetwork. We heard your feedback and preference about the available features to it.
You're right that QuickBooks has been rolling out new experiences when it comes to invoicing customers using the application. This contains new features and changes whose purpose is to improve and meet customer satisfaction in generating sales transactions. I understand the importance of adding the print later option for batch printing to finish your workload quickly.
The feature may not be available for a newly enhanced layout, thus, I suggest sending this suggestion to our product development team. Our product developers are responsible for evaluating and implementing new enhancements, so they would be better equipped to determine the feasibility and benefits of your suggestion for our users:
Moreover, you can see what’s new with estimates and invoices to learn what you can do with the new rolled-out experience. Aside from that, you can begin recording your customer’s payments to keep your records accurate once your customers decide to pay their balances.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding invoicing or any other QuickBooks matters, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I hope all your business endeavors continue to thrive.
These forced "improvements" are a wreck! Why can't you leave well enough alone? These updates are definitely not improvements. The updates to the Sales Tax Center are another failed improvement.
Why do I need to make a feature request for a feature that currently exists? It seems that QB is removing more functionality than it is adding while raising the prices at the same time.
Can you clearly answer a specific question for me? Below is directly quoted from QB - Does this mean I will no longer be able to use price rules on my invoices?
Price Rules (you can create and manage Price Rules, but the new invoice experience currently doesn't support price rules applied on invoices)
Yes. You can no longer use the Price Rules feature in the new invoice experience. I'll share further details about this.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you still have the option to create several price rules however, applying them to the invoice in the new layout experience is unavailable.

Once everything is sorted out, here's a helpful article you can read to have a guide in creating sales transactions for your customers: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online.
I'll keep this thread monitored in case you have other concerns about the new layout feature. Just add your reply below and I'll get back here as soon as possible to provide assistance. Take care.
Why, oh why are there so many changes at once? It's a completely different look. And, wow, how surprising (not!) - MORE steps! Not a fan. Other emps just as confused!
This is the most ABSURD change you could have made. What is the point of us being able to enter pricing rules, but not have them be available to use in our estimates or invoices?!?!?!?
If not few heads are turned over this comical "new design", it'd be hard to take this company serious. They not only did Suprise the customers, they took away an existing important feature, every business needs. Now they pretend this is a feature and they designed it this way. Give me a break!!!
