I'd be glad to help you combine your four checking accounts into one, @jdj6268-outlook-.

In QuickBooks Online, we can merge accounts if it's not connected to online banking. When you merge an account, all the data moves into the one you want to keep. Please know merging accounts is permanent. You can't undo this later on.

To begin, combine the first and second account that you have. Once done, merge them to the third and fourth checking account.

  1. Proceed to Settings ⚙ and then choose the Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to keep. Then, select the dropdown ▼ in the Action column and then Edit.
  3. Note the Save account under (Account Type), Account name (Name), and Tax form section (Detail Type) of the account. These must be the same between the accounts you want to merge.
  4. Check if the account is a subaccount or parent account.

Then go back to the Chart of Accounts, then proceed to the following steps:

  1. Find the duplicate account (the one you won't keep). Then, select the dropdown ▼ in the Action column and then Edit.
  2. Change the Account name (Name), and Tax form section (Detail Type) so the duplicate account's info exactly matches the account you want to keep. If you need to make this a subaccount, keep in mind:
  3. Once ready, click Save and then Yes, merge accounts.

Additionally, here's an information that can help organize your chart of accounts in QuickBooks. It provides tips to ensure everything is correct and easier for you to access financial data.
