Buy nowWelcome to the Community, @naftali1. Let me help you get across this challenge so we can start downloading PayPal transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
QBO automatically downloads new transactions when you link your online bank and credit card accounts. If you aren't receiving the most recent transactions or if updates appear to be stuck, don't worry. I've got the necessary fixes so you can get back to business seamlessly.
First, we can do a manual download. QBO downloads the most recent available transactions for most banks every night around 10 p.m. PT, though some may take a little longer. To do that:
Next, if downloads appear to be stuck, the problem could be with the bank. To check, let's go to your bank's website. Here's how:
In some cases, bank errors often prevent QBO from downloading new transactions. If you've encountered them, here's an article to fix these specific download errors: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Moreover, I'd recommend reconciling your bank accounts monthly so your books are balanced and accurate. Just like balancing your checkbook, we should review your QBO accounts to ensure they match your bank and credit card statements.

Thanks, but i've tried all those steps. Paypal works fine, and there is no error on connection. When I have a new transaction in PayPal, my Quickbooks bank balance updates properly. It just wont import the transactions. I manually imported the transactions, and everything reconciled but new transactions are just not importing automatically. Again, no error and the Quickbooks balance is updating properly with new transactions into paypal.
@JaeAnnC I tried replying earlier but not seeing it posted so I'll try again.
I've tried your steps, but no luck. The connection works properly because the bank balance is updated to the correct amount every time a new transaction comes into Paypal. However, Quickbooks is not importing those transactions, it is ONLY updating the bank balance. When I import the transactions manually, the numbers all tie out with the bank balance so there is no issue there.
What can I do to get the transactions imported automatically again? Should I disconnect and reconnect paypal bank connection? Any other suggestions?

Did you ever find a solution? I am having this exact issue. In fact, Paypal always imported just fine, but suddenly it wasn't even listed under my bank accounts anymore so I had to re-add it. When I did, it only uploaded the most recent 10 transactions, and not any of the previous ones for the year. I have re-synced it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled paypal. I don't know what to do.
Hello, Casacielo.
When a bank feed is disconnected and reconnected in QuickBooks Online (QBO), the system typically only pulls the last 90 days or fewer transactions.
To clarify first, are the missing transactions within the last 90 days? Also, could you please share the date range of the 10 downloaded transactions? This information would help us provide apropriate solution.
Moving on, when you mention you've re-synced it, did you mean manually updating your bank account to receive the most recent available transactions from PayPal? If so, you may consider downloading bank transactions from PayPal and then importing them to QBO in a CSV file format to ensure accurate records.
If you notice duplicate transactions after the import process, exclude them to ensure you can categorize and match the remaining entries seamlessly. Feel free to check this guide: How to remove duplicate bank transactions in QuickBooks.

Its very odd. It downloaded all the transactions from January 2025, and then skipped everything until December 2025. So its like when I put in the dates Jan 1 2025 - Dec 31 2025, it included just those 2 months instead of everything inbetween.
