Open the IIF file in Notepad, remove the header and footer row, and save the file as a .csv file to import. Then you can use an importer tool to proceed

Good to see you here in the Community space, Justin. I'll share some insights about the iif files that can be used when importing data into QuickBooks.

In QuickBooks Online, you can import information using CSV, XLS/XLSX, and Google Sheets file formats. Please note that importing IIF files is currently not supported.

Alternatively, you can use a third-party importer tool available in the QuickBooks App Market or the Apps menu in your QBO account to import IIF files. Let me guide you on how:

  1. Go to the Apps menu.
  2. Select Finds Apps.
  3. Search for an app on the Find Apps to streamline your work field or click Browse Category to find a suitable app that works best for you.
  4. Once you have found an app, click it and select Get App Now.
