When will quickbooks be connected with Wells Fargo Bank again?

Hi there, ccmitzelfeld

Let me share some information about the new bank connection in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

QBO now connects to selected banks, including Wells Fargo, using OAuth (open standard for authentication) to easily access your financial accounts.

It means that you no longer have to give us your bank credentials after initial setup. Instead, give your bank permission to allow QBO to access your account.

You can set up the OAuth connection on the bank’s website. To learn more about setting it up, see this article: Who Can Set Up a Bank Connection in QBO.

Once the OAuth connection is set up, let’s manually update the bank account again so you can switch to the new connection in QBO. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Banking from the left menu.
  2. Select Banking.
  3. Select Update at the top right.
  4. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.
  5. Click Continue Update.

For more details about the new bank connection, you can check out this article through this link: Bank Feeds Direct Connect FAQ.

If you’re receiving an error while updating it, you can fix it by checking out this article: Fix Online Banking Errors.

If you've tried all of the suggestions and are still experiencing issues, I’d suggest contacting our QBO Customer Care Team. They have the tools to securely access your account and double-check why you’re still unable to connect your Wells Fargo bank account to QBO.

Here’s how to reach out to them:

  1. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Select QuickBooks Online.
  3. Choose Running your business in QuickBooks, then select Banking.
  4. Scroll down the page, then click Get Phone Number.

Keep me posted after performing the above steps, ccmitzelfeld. If there's anything else you need about QBO, feel free to comment below. I'll be here to assist you further. Have a nice day!
