Join nowLet me guide you on how to automatically download your latest bank transactions, gumprechtlaw.
We can connect your bank account through Online Banking. This way, QuickBooks automatically downloads the latest available transactions every night around 10 PM PT.
For most banks, transactions are usually available to download into your account the day after they post to your bank's website. Though, some may take a little longer depending on your bank.
To add your bank to Bank Feeds, just check out this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online. Then, go to Step 1: Connect a bank or credit card account section.
If you need to automatically categorize your bank transactions, you can set up a bank rule. Please refer to this article for the steps and details: How to set and use banking rules for downloaded transactions.

Thank you, but this does not answer my question. Your reply says:

That's exactly the problem, I've already connected to Suntrust Bank and am able to download the latest transactions manually by pressing update. But they never download automatically.
I want to turn this on, so that they automatically download.
Hello, @gumprechtlaw.
We recently have an issue with SunTrust Bank that isn't automatically downloading transactions. However, this was already resolved. Since you're still having an error, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support.
Their tools can check your account in a secure environment and further check what's causing this error and help you resolve it. You can do it by going to the Help icon at the top right of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
Follow the steps below:
See this article for detailed guidance: Contact the QuickBooks Online Customer Support team.
You can also check on the following article on what to do if you see a bank error or bank transactions won’t download.
Visit us again if you have follow-up questions. I'm always here to assist. Have a great rest of the day!
