I had a held deposit. I cleared up the issue. The deposit was made. Then I made a deposit in Quickbooks to account for this. Why does QBO still say deposit on hold?

Scam, what an amazing word for what is happening here.

My deposits are also being held. It's sad too because I've spent over 3 days 4 hours each) chatting with support reps trying to find an answer.

Most support reps literally just ignore the chat. Eventually, they just leave in the middle of the conversation without even helping.

All I was trying to do was convert to a paying customer on the $25/m plan. Every support rep told me, just pay for the $75 plan and they'll refund the difference.

Like what in the world!? I don't want this subscription tier!!! Why do I need to pay extra first!?

Eventually they told me to just create a new trial account, new qb payments account, cash account, and then try again.

I've done that and my deposits have now been withheld for almost a month now.

Thank you QuickBooks! You're helping me go homeless, while in the middle of this pandemic.

Worst company I've ever worked with. 100%. I've never felt so ignored or made to feel dumb by chat reps.

Should be illegal and these ppl should be in jail.

Purchasing QBO and the accompanying PR service is the worst thing our company ever did.  It's HORRIBLE!!!!!  I can't process payroll even tho I have followed all produres to release the hold on my account.  THIS IS PAYROLL!!!!  Unlike the rest of the world, we are still WORKING for a living and would like to be PAID!!  We aren't getting government handouts.  I am furious with this joke of a program.

I am speaking from experience, DO NOT USE QBO INVOICING. I had a customer place an order for $15k, Quickbooks held $7500, and would NOT release the funds. The only way I got my money back (which was months later), was by getting my lawyer involved to send them a letter we would sue them for damages.

Unless you want to pay your lawyer to take legal action every time you use their invoicing service, use another service and save yourself an enormous headache.

Quickbooks has been holding a $19,000 deposit for over 10 days. I have called everyday. I uploaded driver license, social security card, and bank statements. The payment support team tells me they received all the documents. However, every evening they send the same email. Upload documents and gives me a link that doesn't work. I am unable to get any answers from the support person. They won't allow me to speak to anyone above them and I an seriously frustrated. I am trying to support a family of four and this is unacceptable.

I am unable to get them to send the money back to my client so they can write me a check. They are just holding on to it and not telling me anything.

We don't want you to be inconvenienced in any way. Please be assured that assisting you is our priority, @octaviohijon2.

To finish processing the payment, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support team to trace this deposit and provide you with a link that works.

You can also check the email that you have received from Merchant Service Center. That’ll contain the information as to why the payment was on hold.

To find their phone number or chat link, please see the following article: Merchants Services Support Team

For your reference, here are some links that you can check out about fixing the payment on hold status for deposits:

Please let me know if you require any additional help in handling your transactions. I'll be there to help in any way I can. Have a wonderful day.

I don’t understand what’s going on with QuickBooks. I’m hearing the same thing I’ve been going threw with this system. I’ve had so many problems with the system and the support system is no more qualified to be answering phones than I am. Every problem I’ve had. And there is multiple have never been addressed. Several phone calls several on screen help but after they. Any figure it out I’m told they will contact me and I never get contacted and nothing ever gets fixed. The latest is I have a payment on hold. I’ve done everything to get it released. Support told me I’d see it in a few days but I still haven’t seen it. It shows it’s still on hold. And now after reading this. I think that if I get my money I’m signing off QuickBooks for good! Yea

Has this ever gotten any resolution?
I got the money, but the invoices are still on hold, and it's causing issues elsewhere.

Voiding, deleting, and recreating doesn't work.

Oh wow this has been an issue since 2019? I am currently having the same issue. My customers' deposit was held for a week and after money was finally deposited the invoice still says deposit on hold. I think im going to take my business to another company before i get another deposit held which is not a good look at all when running a business and you have to tell your customers their money is tied up and you have no idea when or if it will be released.
