I have several transactions in uncategorized income. How do I reclassify them?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'd be glad to share more info about Uncategorized income in QBO.  

The Uncategorized Income account is created by QuickBooks automatically when QBO can’t figure out how to categorize the transaction. So, if you see Uncategorized Income you can correct it by selecting the appropriate category or account from your chart of accounts. 

Here's how:  

1. Go to the Accounting menu, and select Chart of Accounts.
2. On the Filter by name box, type Uncategorized Income.
3. Choose the transactions that you'll want to run.
4. From the Action column, click the drop-down arrow.
5. Tap Edit.
6. From the Account window, you can now change it to the correct account.
7. Click Save and Close.

If I go to Chart of Accounts and navigate to Uncategorized Income, I can either run a quick report or edit the actual account or render it inactive. If I run the quick report, I get a listing of the transactions. Regardless of which hyperlink/quick-link I choose, the sales receipt screen appears. I have confirmed that the product/service is mapped to the correct income account. Even if I reselect the product/service, nothing changes.

To ensure this gets resolved as soon as possible, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They'll be able to use a screen share tool to walk you through other steps that will fix this problem. Here's how: 

1. Go to the Help icon in the top right-hand corner. 
2. Click the Contact Us button. 
3. Enter a brief description of the issue and press the Let's talk button. 
4. Scroll down and select to Get a callback.

This method does work for anyone encountering this. What they forgot to mention is that you will be asked to merge the account you are editing to an existing one once you input the same account information and account name where you want the transactions to move to.
