I would like to download QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020 to my new computer.

I'm here to walk you through in downloading QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020 to your new computer.

To begin, have your product and license available and secure a backup copy of your company file if you already have one. Then,  download QuickBooks Desktop.

After downloading, we can now install QuickBooks. Here's how:

1. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooks.exe).
2. Follow the onscreen instructions. Accept the software license agreement and then select Next.
3. Enter your Product and License numbers and then select Next.

Then, let's decide which install type is right for you and your business. You can either select express or custom and network. 

Express install

Express install is recommended if you’re:

• A first-time user
• Reinstalling QuickBooks.
• Going to use QuickBooks on just this computer (not as part of a network of computers).

You may follow these steps to express install:

1. Select Express and then Next.
2. Select Install.
3. Once finished, select Open QuickBooks to get started.

Custom and Network install

We recommend a custom install if you're:

1. Setting up a multi-user network.
2. Hosting your company files on a server.
3. Installing QuickBooks somewhere other than the default location (such as on a server).

Here's how to custom or network install:

1. Select Custom and Network Options and then Next.
2. Select the option that describes how you’ll use QuickBooks.
3. On the next screen, select Change the install location.
4. Select Browse to decide where to put your QuickBooks folder. 
5. Select Next to start the install.
6. When it finishes installing, select Open QuickBooks to get started.

I agree with the previous answer by Charlene from QuickBooks Team. But, would add some of my own things as well. To be very exact, Benyov, these things depend. How do you want to use QuickBooks, Just buying the parent company's license or using Intuit authorized resellers? 

You can take the license from Intuit and install the desktop version on your computer. Or, to avoid the unnecessary hassle and take advantages of the software, you can consult a cloud hosting provider who is also an Intuit Authorized Reseller. The cloud hosting provider will take care of everything.
