Join nowI mistakenly had my POS (Wix) transfer transactions directly into my checking account and want to move them to the appropriate account. How can I do this?
Thanks for reaching out to us, Sheena. Let me outline the steps on how to move your Point of Sale (POS) transactions to another account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In QBO, it's essential to transfer POS transactions to the appropriate accounts to ensure that your financial reports accurately depict your business' actual standing.
To do that:
Additionally, I suggest performing monthly account reconciliation in QBO to maintain the integrity of your financial data so you can make informed decisions for your business.

Well, pooh. I was looking all over for that stupid drop down and just couldn't find it. Sure, I was focusing more toward the top of the entry since that's where it was in Desktop. I definitely try to do monthly reconciliations. That's how I first found this issue. Thanks so much for helping this seemingly clueless QBO user!
Is there any way to do this with a group of items? Maybe even a macro? I have 3 months-worth of deposits to move and, *if* I don't have to go into each and every deposit, it would be great!
Hello Sheena,
I recognize that batch transferring transactions from one account (checking) to another is a more convenient process. However, it's important to note that QuickBooks Desktop does not support this feature. As a result, the only available option is to manually review and transfer these transactions individually.
Once everything is taken care of, you can proceed to reconciling your transactions. Here's an article to guide you through the process: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop.
