Let's perform some steps so you'll be able to update your bank transactions, RichAndyqwertyuiop.
But before we start, may I know what's the name of your bank?
Normally, this happens if your bank may have an ongoing maintenance on their website. Thus, instead of resetting the app, you'll want to refresh the bank connection using your browser to restore and trigger updates to your bank transactions. To do this, follow the steps below.
However, if it's not updating, you can manually add transactions by importing them in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
For your reference, here's an overview about QuickBooks Self-Employed: QBSE Overview.
Don't hesitate to keep in touch if you need anything else with your bank transactions. I'll always be right here to help you.
That is not an option under the gear icon. Still having a problem. Transactions have not updated since the 27th of last month. Trying to upload a photo of what is under the cure icon but it will not let me.
I appreciate you getting back to us here in the Community. Allow me to step in and help you with your banking concern in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Since it's happening on the app and browser, the issue may be related to your bank. You can perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate and fix the issue.
I recommend you start by signing in to your bank's website. This way, you'll be able to check if the transactions are updated.
The data we download to QuickBooks will depend on the information shared by your financial institution. If the transactions aren't showing on the website, I suggest contacting your bank. They'll be able to review your account and ensure the data is up to date.
If it's showing correctly from the website, please contact our QuickBooks Support Team. They have the necessary tools to further check the problem and to get you back on track as quickly as possible.
Our Customer Support Team is available from 6 AM - 6 PM PT (Monday - Friday) and 6 AM - 3 PM PT (Saturday). Here's how you can reach them:

I've attached an article you can use to bring over bank transactions manually, as well as how to review the data in QuickBooks: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I called customer support a few days ago. Apparently this is a problem for a lot of people and engineers are working to fix it. Disappointing that it has not yet been resolved over two weeks later.
Yes I’m having the same issue on my iPhone app I constantly have to put in my banking information to sync the account.
Hello, Lobizbo.
First, let's ensure that you're app is up to date with the latest version. This will help the mobile app work to it's full potential.
Second, let's try resetting your application's data to fix this. You can do that by tapping the Help menu and then selecting Reset App Data.
Afterwards, log in to the mobile app to check to see if the sync process is successful.
If it's not, I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the QuickBooks Self-Employed application to resolve installation corruptions. It will also help reset the application data so it functions properly.
Lastly, if the same thing happens, I recommend reporting this to our Support Team. They will create a ticket for this problem and escalate it to our engineers for thorough review. To get our support, check out this link: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.
You can always leave your comments here if you have follow-up questions with the mobile app. I'm always here to help you out. Stay safe!
Did they ever fix this or compensate you for the app not working? Mine doesn’t show transactions from Feb 2021 to May 2021
Let's get this working so you can download the transactions in your account, SmithCreative.
I'd also like to ask if you're getting an error message when refreshing your bank account? If there's no error message, you can uninstall and reinstall the mobile app. Please refer to your device's instructions on how to uninstall an app.
Then, use these links to reinstall it:
Once done, log back in and refresh the bank account once again. Then, check if transactions are now showing up.
Just in case you're still getting the same issue, I would recommend reaching out to our support team for QuickBooks Self-Employed. They can investigate this further to check what's causing the issue and help you resolve it as well.

Please know that you also manually upload the missing transactions using a CSV file. However, you'll need to do it on the web version of QBSE. Here's an article as a guide: Manually Import Transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I just signed up a few days ago and am having this same issue, in the app and online. It’s affecting my accounts with two different banks so clearly not an issue with the bank. In both cases my balance is up to date but transactions have not updated for several days.
I’m on my free trial and the amount of time I’ve spent trying to troubleshoot this and other issues is not inspiring me to subscribe.
I am having the same issue! Total is good - BUT the detail transaction is missing!

Totally unacceptable and utterly unusable!
Hello there,
Let me give you a fix for your Banking issue in QuickBooks Self-employed.
There are some possible reasons why QBSE isn't updating your bank account. Here are some of them:
To get this resolved, let's refresh the bank connection in your QBSE account to show all the missing transactions. Here's how:
If the manual update doesn't work, the issue may be on the bank's end. I'd recommend signing in to their website to check if there are alerts that need your attention.
Once your bank account is updated, you can categorize the transactions to ensure your financial records are correct. For more guidance, feel free to check out this article: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I'll be around if you need more help with your concern. Wishing you all the best.
