Profit and loss is showing no income but I am depositing checks in my Bank of America business account which is linked. What am I doing wrong?

Hello there, @bbcrewcorp-gmail.

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to help you view your income in the Profit and Loss report.

First, let's access your QuickBooks account using private browser or an incognito browser. You can use either keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Once logged in, let's try generating your Profit and Loss report again.

  1. Go to Reports from the left menu.
  2. From the Business Overview section, select Profit and Loss Detail report.
  3. Choose either Cash or Accrual in the Accounting method section.
  4. Click Run report.

Just a heads-up, there are two methods of reporting your income and transactions. If you use the Cash method in the report, it will show income transactions when you got the payment immediately. While the accrual method counts income when you sent the invoices or got the bills.

If it works, you'd want to clear the cache of your regular browser to start on a clean slate. This process helps the browser to fetch the latest version of the webpage and a faster browsing experience. Also, you can use a supported, up-to-date browser to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.
