Quickbooks debited exactly one dollar, but when I verify my account, it requires me to enter an amount less than one dollar. What do I enter?

I am trying to set up direct deposit and QB needs to verify my account.

Hi @dholden , you need to test transaction upon setup direct deposit less than $ 1.00. Here i give you article about Setup direct deposit in QBO.  Try open QB in private window, clear cache and browsing history. Comment back, cheers.

Thank you for your response. Quickbooks said it would debit my account LESS than one dollar, but it debited my account EXACTLY one dollar. When I go to verify the amount that was debited, Quickbooks WILL ONLY ACCEPT amounts LESS THAN one dollar.  I have included a picture of the debit.  I can only enter an amount from .01 to .99

What do I do?

Let's get this sorted out, Dholden.

First, let's check the debit's description. It should be "QuickBooks: Verify Bank" or "Intuit:Verify Bank". Or, you can contact your bank to trace the deposit.

Then, try to verify the test debits again in QuickBooks Online. If you're unable to do so, I'd suggest contacting our customer care support. A payroll agent will help you out. Here's how:

  1. Click Help or the Question mark icon in QuickBooks Online.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter "Verify test debits" in the description box, then click Let's talk.
  4. Select either Start messaging or Get a callback

Once it's all good, you can create direct deposit checks and submit them to us.

We're just around if you have other payroll concerns. Feel free to reach out to us again.
