This thread has been active for 2+ years. Several people have reported a specific technical problem, yet the advice given by QB employees doesn't show understanding of the problem. My request for a Read the Thread emoji was an expression of resignation that this tech problem will continue and help is not forthcoming.
It’s obvious Intuit has no clue how to fix it so these advisors are just trolling everyone. The last last response about the emoji actually gave me a chuckle.
I suggest we all move on.
can anyone tell us if you now have another program that is working better for the than QB and perhaps list pros and cons
I'm thinking of moving on as I think a lot of people are

"I'm thinking of moving on as I think a lot of people are"
I have definitely thought of moving on, but switching all my clients over to a new platform seems daunting, and it is likely unbillable time. I keep checking this thread in case a user comes up with a workaround or reports back that calling customer support actually worked.
The employee answers are clearly bots, but I had a laugh at being asked to explain what read the thread meant.
I understand how hard it must be for you, @GKB. I appreciate you taking the time to express your concerns about getting your bank statements getting auto-imported to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Before we start, I'd like to ask what banks or financial institutions you're having auto-importing issues with and what errors you're getting if there are any. Knowing these would help me check for the best solution.
In the meantime, let's perform some banking troubleshooting steps so you can get your latest bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Let's manually update the online bank connection in QuickBooks to refresh the connection. Here's how:
If you get the same result, you can check out this article for more troubleshooting steps: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Once it is fixed, QuickBooks will download your bank transactions. Then, categorize them to put them into the correct account.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve your experience with QuickBooks Online. If there's anything else that I can help you with, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Same issue with our customers. They bank at First Southern National Bank. Transactions pull in without issue. They receive an error, "we don't import statements for this account" when they attempt to import statements. We reached out to the bank regarding the QBO Connection for Statements and received the following response, "Please reach out to Intuit, as there is not a separate setting for statements and images. Please let us know if you need anything else."
Same issue here. Clients are banking at First Southern National Bank and receive the following error when attempting to import statements, "We don't import statements for this account. You need to get it manually." This is a new issue as the option worked in the past.
When contacting the bank, the response from their Digital Banking provider was, "Please reach out to Intuit, as there is not a separate setting for statements and images." The QBO connection to the bank works seamlessly for transactions, just fails for statements.
Thank you for bringing it to our attention and providing the necessary information, @bowlesjo.
I understand the urgency to fix this matter and assure you that resolving this issue is our top priority. Once your bank account is supported under QuickBooks, you can import your statements to your bank.
Based on our resources, a good number of banks allow you to access your bank statements directly from QBO. If you don't have this option, your bank hasn't implemented this feature yet. Rest assured that we are actively collaborating with financial institutions to expand this functionality to more banks in the near future.
You can check this article to accurately review your financial accounts and ensure they match up with your corresponding bank and credit card statement: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
I appreciate your patience regarding this matter. If you have other questions or need assistance with your bank statement, hit the reply button, and we're always here to assist you.

please re-read the last two proadvisor thread post who is experiencing this 2+ year old QB problem, and the response from a banking institution clearly saying this is not a banking problem, aa if transactions are coming in without fail, there is zero reason why the statements stopped function.
perhaps having the programmers go back and check one of the software updates which occurred from 2021 to see where the QB failure occurred.
Having this problem, too. Just left feedback to Intuit about it because I'm hoping the more people report it, the more likely it is that it might get fixed. I'm discouraged to see people have been waiting two years on this. One of my accounts just started acting up in the last month or two. Other accounts from the same bank are working fine. I was so excited not to have to chase down the statement from my client, now we're back there again. Please, please Intuit, fix this issue for us!
I'm just here for this
"I would love to help you, but I need more information about your concern. Can you tell me more about what you are referring to "where's that "read the whole thread" emoji when you need it?"
My auto import of statements is also not working. I use Rockland Trust. This is a real bummer. Will look into other bookkeeping software because of this.
