Recently my bank was bought by another bank. Had no trouble downloading from the bank to QB for Mac desktop until the change. Although other accounts show up in the account association, the one I need does not & it wants me to setup a new bank account. Don't want to do that as I have history for years in the previous account. yes, online access is set on for the account in question.

Connecting the existing bank account in QuickBooks is vital since the previous one already has a history of all your previous transactions.

Thank you for your reply. My problem begins with step 4, as the account is not in the select account drop down menu. It shows up on the chart of accounts and is setup for online banking, but I can’t select it to make the association.

Once our bank is set up with online banking, we may need to disconnect the old account so we can merge the new one and establish a new connection.

In the meantime, you’ll want to manually upload your bank transactions to your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac software: Download bank transactions in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
