Hello kpierce1208,
May I know the name of your bank? This is to make sure I am able to give you the appropriate response.
Thanks in advance.
I'm actually currently on chat with support. My client uses 5/3 bank, which shows up in bank feeds as Fifth Third NEW. Fifth Third bank made my client switch to a different type of account, with a different login website - Fifth Third Direct. I can't use my 5/3 Direct login on the 5/3 NEW bank feeds login. Even if I manually download the QBO file from the bank, QB won't allow me to upload it. Beyond frustrated!
Hey there, Nancy.R.

My Bank of America feed hasn't updated now for 53 days. According to this feed, Intuit is telling us NOT to manually download transactions because when there is a fix, it will create duplicate transactions. So... what SHOULD we do? And why are we paying for a service that we essentially can't use? Is there a realistic fix in sight? It's the end of the year, and I need to meet with my accountant. To me, this has gone on long enough.
Hello midearmon,
Being unable to update your connection with your Bank of America account is something that we don't want you to experience.
While we continue to diligently work on getting this resolved, we want to make it up to you. I recommend calling our QuickBooks Customer Care team so they can help you process your refund request. Please know that all refund requests are subject for approval.

Jen-
My Chase feed was duplicating downloaded transactions. The problem was corrected, but now I just noticed it downloaded everything from November and December AGAIN (duplicate entries). Why does this keep happening? It's so time-consuming to cross check to make sure everything is in my bank register that should be. It's more than double the work.
Hello, @Laura_C.
I’m here to share some insights about your bank feeds downloading existing transactions and causing duplicates in QuickBooks Online.
Since QBO is dependent on what your financial institution shares with us, it’s possible that the bank is experiencing some technical difficulties. This would be the reason you're getting duplicate transactions. You may want to reach out to your bank and verify this information.
To resolve this, you can remove the duplicates by excluding them from the Banking page. Here’s how:
1. Select Banking from the left menu.
2. In the For Review tab, put a check mark on the transactions you want to exclude.
3. When done, go to the Batch Actions drop-down and click Exclude Selected.
For more information, check out this article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Banking-and-bank-feeds/How-to-exclude-expenses-from-download....
That should do it. Feel free to leave a comment below if you need additional assistance. I’m always here to help.
Thanks - I actually know how to exclude. That's not the problem. It's the double download that's killing me. LOL!
Why QB moderators or employees on here are not giving this information to us is beyond me. So since April 2018 I have this issue - but no help from QB's and this info was not on there before bc I couldn't find it. I fixed it and the answer is now in Quickbooks help on the desktop.
** I added a new bank name in Chart of Accounts. Downloaded the bank feed to this account (that I haven't been able to download since April). Then I renamed the old account the same as the new account - so it would merge. MERGE. Then I renamed it again to be the original name that it has been for years. Just remember you can not have any names similar to the original bank name in your chart of accounts it won't merge then. If you want to find this info yourself - open bank feeds - then open help. Attached it the instructions from quickbooks if the links do not work. You can find the info under :

I really would like a web page to tell me which banks are not working with Bank Feeds when. It seems to be spotty. I feel like I waste so much time just trying to figure out why the feeds aren't working and what to do. I want there to be some kind of standard, or source of information that helps me know what to do.
Some places on the Internet say US Bank does bank feeds, but we can't get it to show up in the list of bank options to set up the QB Desktop Bank feed. Sometimes Discover isn't working, sometimes it is. Sometimes there are issues with Bank of America. Sometimes Chase lets me download a year, sometimes only 4 months of data. Sometimes a problem with one bank is different for other clients, because they have a different account. Or today Wells Fargo just wasn't working.
It used to be you could double click on a .QBO file and it would import into the QB version you had OPEN. Now if you double click it opens QB 2019 and tries to create a new QB desktop file.
It's a mess and it doesn't work they way it's intended to OFTEN. Maybe we can have a bank feeds status page to let us know not to waste our time trying to get WellsFargo to work, because it's not going to.

I'm here to help you with downloading your bank transaction in QuickBooks.
You can manually update your account to catch any bank data that may have cleared in the hours since the last automatic download.
Here's how:
If you still can't see the transactions, you can download files using the WebConnect feature. To upload a WebConnect file, just go to https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Banking-and-bank-feeds/How-to-upload-more-than-90-days-of-ba....
If you'd like to go through this over the phone, you can call our dedicated team who will be happy to assist you. Our contact details can be found here along with our opening hours:
Should you need further assistance in downloading your bank data, don't hesitate to leave a Reply below.
Hi - the issue is whenever i try and use the web-connect, it shuts down my entire quickbooks, the whole program closes. that seems like a bug to me
Thanks for joining this conversation, @Stephbrown1.
Allow me to chime in for a moment and help fix the issue you're having when using the WebConnect feature in QuickBooks.
Just to confirm, are you using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT)? If so, let's perform some troubleshooting steps that can help us isolate this.
To start off, try opening a sample file, then create a new bank account and use the WebConnect. This helps us identify if the problem lies with your company file or with QuickBooks itself.
To use a sample file, here's how:
1. Launch QuickBooks, then from the No Company Open window, select Open a sample file.
2. Choose any sample file on the list.
Once opened, you can now create/set up a new bank account. Here's how:
1. Go to Banking menu at the top, then pick Bank Feeds and Set Up Bank Feeds for an Account on the drop-down.
2. Enter the necessary information.
After that, import your bank transactions using the WebConnect feature. Here's how:
1. Go to File menu and pick Utilities on the drop-down.
2. Select Import, then Web Connect Files.
3. Choose the QBO file you saved, then Open.
4. Click Use an existing QuickBooks account, then Continue and OK.
5. Now, go to the Bank Feeds Center to review your transactions.
For your reference, you can also check out this article for further guidance: Unrecoverable Error: General Troubleshooting Steps.
If it works, your company file might be damaged causing it to shut down when using the feature. To isolate this, let's run the QuickBooks built-in diagnostic and repair tools called rebuild and verify data utilities on your main company file. These tools comb through, repair, and notify you of data damage within the file. Here's the helpful article with the detailed steps on how to do it: Resolve data damage on your company file.
That's it! Please let me know how it goes or if you're referring to something else in the comment section below. I'm always here to help should you have any additional questions or concerns. Take care and have a good one.
Hi there, I followed your instructions and came to this when I tried to setup a bank feed:
Problem: You cannot use Bank Feeds because a sample company file is open. Solution: Go to the File menu and click Close Company to close the sample company file. Then, in the No Company Open window, locate your company file and click the Open button.
I got your back, Stephbrown1.
We can't use the sample companies to test web connect files. Instead, you'll want to create a new company and test it to isolate the case. However, for this one, you can directly proceed to repairing QuickBooks. This restores any damaged program components that are used for importing bank transactions. You can follow the steps in this article: Fix QuickBooks Desktop (Windows).
Please go back to this thread if you need more help.
I do not have a left navigation panel
Thanks for following up on this thread, Mitchell1.
Allow me to step in and help you further with multiple bank transactions.
If you're trying to remove the duplicate or multiple transactions from the bank feeds, you can follow the steps below.
Let me show you how:
Note: Deleting the statement will prevent the unwanted transactions from appearing the next time you download a statement. If you do not delete the statement, the transactions that were not matched will always appear.
Check out this recommended article for detailed information: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Reports-and-accounting/Remove-duplicate-transactions/td-p/20....
As always, you can contact our customer care agents if you'd like someone to be with you as you go through these steps. They can pull up your account in a secure environment and assist you further.
If you're referring to something else, please let me know. I'd be more than willing to lend you a hand.

My QB account has suddenly stopped working with my TSB Business account. I get error code 103.
I have tried all the steps suggested on the QB site & forum, but still no joy. Help please
Thanks
Gary
Hi there, Gary.
Thanks for joining us in this thread. I'm here to provide some information about the ongoing issue with TSB Business account.
Our Online Banking Team is aware of the issue, and they're currently investigating this particular occurrence. For now, you may want to give us a call to receive updates. When you do, provide this investigation number: 28794.
Here's how to get in contact with them:
As a workaround, you can upload bank transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO). For your reference, you can check out this article for further guidance: Download transactions from your bank's website.
Rest assured that updates will be given to you once this gets resolved.
I appreciate your patience. You've got me here if you have any other concerns.
My feed is not working either; I have bank feeds and credit card feeds. I just noticed that the credit card feeds are wrong - even after I hit update, they are not updating at all and past credit card transactions are not included. Why was I not notified about this? And what can be done this does not happen again?
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @abides.
I appreciate you manually downloading the updates to get your bank transactions to show up.
Let's try to log in to your bank's website. This is to make sure if their service is working properly, and isn't under system maintenance.
If everything works in their end, please wait 2-3 hours and try updating your bank.
If you get the same result, I suggest to manually bring in transactions via WebConnect. You can log in to your bank, then save files as CSV, OFX, QFX, or QBO to your computer. Then, sign in to QBO and upload the file.
I also recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online care team for further investigation. They're equipped with tools to help identify the root cause of the issue.
Let me know how the call goes by adding a comment to the thread and I'll get back to you @abides.
I disconnect my bank (Sun Trust) and I reconnected my bank to my QB Online Accountant version and now I am unable to see any download transactions for 2018. I also read that when I initially connect my bank, that if you can't find downloaded bank transactions one of the reasons could be because QB Online automatically downloads the last 90 days of transactions. QuickBooks then downloads new transactions nightly around 10 PM PT according to this article: What to do if you can’t find downloaded bank transactions
Is this correct for QB Online Accountant version also? If so, do I have to use step 1: Manually download your latest transactions or are there other options? I also reviewed this article also: What to do if bank transactions won’t download
My Tech Team
Greetings, @SciGlobal.
Thanks for joining this thread. Allow me to chime in for a moment and share some information about downloading bank transactions in QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA).
First of all, I appreciate you checking our Help articles. Yes, you're right! This also be applied to QBOA as well.
A possible reason you can't see your transactions for 2018 is that when you connect your bank, QuickBooks will only download the last three months or 90 days of your transactions. If you need more than that, you can export these transactions from your bank and upload them into your QBOA.
Here's how:
1. Sign in to your bank's website and follow your bank's online process to download your transactions to your computer.
2. Choose a supported file type for the download file.
Once done, upload the file to your QBOA. Here's how:
1. Go to the Banking menu at the left pane, then Banking.
2. Choose File upload on the Update drop-down.
3. Click Browse and locate the file you've downloaded, then Next.
4. Select the account you wish to upload the bank transactions on the QuickBooks account drop-down, then Next.
5. Hit Let's go! (or Finish) to complete the process.
For more information, you can also check out this article for future reference: How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions.
That should do it. Please let me know how it goes in the comment section below. I'd be glad to answer if you have any additional questions about the process. Wishing you all the best!
