Bank Transactions will not download in Quickbooks - No Error Message.

No transactions have downloaded from my bank accounts since 11/19/2021.  Today is 11/22/2021.   I pushed the "Update" button and it says I have reviewed all my transactions.  I know I have a ton of transactions that have not downloaded and transferred to Quickbooks.   I have spent hours with both the bank and Quickbooks customer service.  I have deactivated my bank accounts from Quickbooks and added back the bank links and they are still not syncing and not downloading any transactions.   HELP Please.

Bank Transactions will not download in Quickbooks - No Error Message.

Hi there, ginanguyendenton.

I appreciate the things you've done. I know how this process takes time when you're unable to download bank transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO). We'd want to make sure that we get this sorted out.

To start,  I recommend updating your bank manually in the system to refresh its connection.

To do that:

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Click on the bank account that you're working with.
  4. Select Update.

If the issue still persists, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to determine if this is a browser-specific issue.

Access your QBO account in a private window. This allows the program to run without storing cache or cookies that might cause some problems when running Intuit sites.

Here are some of keyboard shortcuts to quickly open an incognito session:

  • Ctrl Shift N  for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift P  for Firefox
  • Ctrl Option +if you're using Safari
  • Ctrl Shift P for Microsoft Edge

Once done, go back to your account and click the Update button. If this works, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. This will refresh the background process of your browser settings. But, if the same thing happens, use another supported browser

You can also use this link in case you've encountered bank errors, jump to "Step 4: Fix specific bank errors.": What to do if you see a bank error or bank transactions won’t download.

You can check out this article if you'll want to manually import bank transactions in QuickBooks Online:

Let me know if you have other concerns or questions while working with bank transactions in QuickBooks. I'm always around to help.

Bank Transactions will not download in Quickbooks - No Error Message.

I have had the same problem for over a month.  Since 5/6/22 (now 6/12/22), no transactions have downloaded.  I have called QB customer service multiple times... the customer service reps, while extremely friendly and sympathetic, can't provide anything more than "an investigation is open and our software development team is working on it."  More than a month and no resolution.

@john312

Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank or connection.

This isn't the experience that we want you to have, @john312.

I'd like to share some insights and a workaround for the bank feeds issue.

Based on your scenario, we'll also communicate with your bank regarding it to make sure there's no problem on their end. Right now, we assure you that our engineers are already keeping an eye on it.

In the meantime, I recommend uploading your bank transactions manually in QuickBooks Online. I'll show you how:

  1. Click on Bookkeeping then select Transactions then go to Bank transactions.
  2. Click on the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Choose the Link account dropdown and then select Upload from file.
  4. Click on Browse and then click on the file you downloaded from your bank. Then hit Next.
  5. From the QuickBooks account ▼ dropdown, choose the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then click Next.
  6. Go through the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then click Next.
  7. Choose the transactions you would like to import. Then hit Next.
  8. Click on Yes.
  9. Once ready, click on Let's go.

For more information on how you can handle transactions in QBO, check out this link: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

If you're all set and you'd like to match your bank and credit card statements, see this guide: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Loop me in for additional concerns regarding banking or QuickBooks in general. I'm always here to back you up. Keep safe!
