Can I reset my whole account

If you are using QBO Simple Start or your account > 60 days old, you should cancel your account and sign up for a new one instead.

As an additional option, utilize the trial version of a backup restore app to re-configure it later.

Can I reset my whole account

I've got you covered, @sjm59-monsters-e.

Thanks for laying out your concern with us. I'll share some solutions to make sure that you can reset all of your data in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We can wipe your data and start over if your books are less than 60 days old. Please know that this is only applicable to QBO Essentials, Plus, and Advanced subscribers. Follow these steps to completely clear out your books:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Look at the URL in your browser's address bar. Delete all the text after the last / and enter purgecompany.
  3. For example:
    - Before: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage
    - After: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany
  4. To confirm you want to delete your company data, type Yes.
  5. Select Wipe data.

However, as Fiat Lux - ASIA mentioned above, we'll have to cancel your QBO subscription if your books are 60 days old or older. Then let's create a new company. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings and then select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Billing and subscription tab.
  3. Click Cancel subscription.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to cancel your account.

After that, you can start a new company by following these steps:

  1. Go to https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/.
  2. Fill up the User ID and password.
  3. You can use the same user ID and password you previously had.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

You can read through this article for additional information on this process: Delete your data and start over.

Additionally, feel free to check out this article that can efficiently guide you through supervising your account: Learn about QuickBooks Online with how-to videos.

Please come back and keep us posted on your progress in starting over again with your QBO account. I'm always here to back you up. Have a great day!
