Cannot connect USAA account to quickbooks

Hey there, lizard4984.

Thanks for reaching out to us here in the Community. I can help get your online banking to reconnect.

Just to clarify, did you receive any error codes/messages? While for the information, let's try some new steps to get this working.

The first thing is to update your our login credentials in QBO and make sure they match with your bank information. Next, sign in to your financial institution’s website outside QuickBooks.

Please take note of the exact User ID and password. If you can access your account from there, perform a manual update in QBO to refresh the connection.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking on the left panel, then click on the Banking link.
  2. Click on the Update button.
  3. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication credentials and click Continue Update.

Once done, try reconnecting the account. If you receive an error, follow the troubleshooting steps found in this article: Fix banking errors.

Please let me know how it goes by leaving a comment below. I'll keep an eye to your response.

Cannot connect USAA account to quickbooks

Was this resolved? I purchased Desktop for Mac 2019 and when trying to set up Online Banking, USAA is not listed at all. Is there a work around or something, I've seen couple of post where it seems that people are actually in fact connected to USAA.

Cannot connect USAA account to quickbooks

Hello @SA_TX,

As of this time, the option to connect USAA account in Desktop for Mac is unavailable.

But I’ve got a workaround for you. In the meantime, I suggest uploading your transactions via WebConnect.

If you are using Desktop, you can read this article for the detailed steps and information: Bank Feeds Web Connect

But if you’re using QBO, you may refer to this article: How to Upload More Than 90 Days of Bank Transactions.

Also, I encourage going to this page and submitting a connection request for USAA and Desktop for Mac: https://fi.intuit.com/.

Don’t hesitate to leave a comment below if you have any other questions.

There is nothing on this page that allows one to submit a connection request.

Cannot connect USAA account to quickbooks

Hello there, DCPhotoBiz.

The ability to connect with QuickBooks to import data will need approval from your bank for the integration. Since you're unable to submit the request on your end, I'm taking note of your financial institution's name and will be personally submitting the information on your behalf.

Please also know that the connection request would be faster if the bank will be the one seeking a direct connection with our program. For now, I recommend taking note of the direct link I'm adding below for the list of support banks:

https://www.intuit.com/content/dam/intuit/intuitcom/partners/documents/financial-institution/icom-pa....

While waiting for updates, you can use the WebConnect feature as a workaround to import bank data manually.

Let me know if you have additional questions about connecting the USAA bank. I'm always around to help out.

I'm using Quickbooks Pro Plus 2020 and this does not work for me. Can you please tell me how to get my USAA accounts to show in the desktop app? I am using Windows.

Hi @Romad275,

It's possible that the online bank account you're trying to sync to your QuickBooks Desktop company isn't included in the list of participating financial institutions.

To check this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Highlight Bank Feeds, then select Participating Financial Institutions.

You'll find 4 buttons on top of the list. These are Any services, Banking account access, Credit/charge card access, and Payment. Press the button with the type of service you're looking for. Right after that, search for your bank on the list.

If your bank isn't listed, you can ask your FI to sign up through this link.

Once that's taken care of, check out this article on how you download bank transactions: Download Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

Let me know if you need anything else by posting a comment below. I'll be sure to get back to you.

Since USAA is not on the list does that mean I cannot use them without them signing up?

Hi Romad275,

They'll have to sign up to request to get added to our list of participating financial institution.

You can use the link provided by my colleague @Ryan_M.

I've also added our page about banking in case you need some help articles.

Cannot connect USAA account to quickbooks

3 weeks ago USAA reported that:

"We are currently in the process of integrating with Intuit and Finicity, with the timing and rollout of the new solution being driven by their teams. Intuit has already incorporated the USAA API solution with their Quickbooks products and we expect them to begin updating Mint in the months to come. A

So, it's up to Intuit to get the ball rolling here it seems. VERY anxious to get the USAA integration. Years too late.

Hi, I see that as of Sunday last week you published that QuickBooks recognizes USAA bank for the online solution. Any word on when it will also rollout to the Desktop Mac & PC versions?

Thanks for joining us here, abomb97.

For now, USAA is still not on the list of participating financial institutions for online banking in the Desktop versions. You can ask your bank to sign up through this link https://fi.intuit.com.

In the meantime, you can use the Web Connect connection method to bring your transactions from USAA to QuckBooks. This article will guide you through the process: Import web connect (.qbo) files

Once imported, follow the steps in this article on how to categorize them: Add and match Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'll be around if you need more help with your banking transactions.

Cannot connect USAA account to quickbooks

My USAA connection dropped and I kept getting Error 103 when inputing the correct credentials. Today is 31 Mar 2020

Solution: I got my USAA account to reconnect by clicking Connect another account as if I were adding a new account. The initial 'login to your bank' window popped open, and I authorized Intuit to access my USAA account again.

I'm in! And I didn't lose my transaction data!

Cannot connect USAA account to quickbooks

how can quickbooks even charge for their "service"?

2 hours on hold with customer service and all they say is that "some types of accounts don't connect to QB online."

I managed to successfully connect EVERY USAA account except the ONE that I need. Their brilliant answer is that "we have one other complaint of this in the system and then again, some types of accounts don't connect to QB online."

No offer to help figure out the problem. No knowledge of the problem. Nothing.

I completely hate QB and resent that I need it to run a business and to interface with my accountant. Shameful.
