Credit Card Account Number Does Not Appear in Online Set Up List of Cards

Company A had a credit card with Chase ("Chase Card 1"). Company A's and Chase Card 1's online banking was set up and working perfectly. Suddenly, Chase Card 1's online banking stopped working. I deleted Chase Card 1's online banking set up and tried to re-link. When I try to relink, Chase Card 1's account number does not appear but Chase Card 2, 3, and 4 appear. Thus, I cannot relink Chase Card 1 in Company A. When I go to online bank set up in Company B, C, and D, Chase Card 1's account number appears and I could link it if I wanted to, which I do not want to do because Chase Card 1 belongs to Company A.

To me this seems like Company A's Quickbook File believes that Chase Card 1 is still linked. I have verified my data and rebuilt. This did not solve the issue.

Credit Card Account Number Does Not Appear in Online Set Up List of Cards

I admire you for laying out the details of your concern, @huleeaon.

Rest assured I'll share some insights on how to get around this issue so you can view your credit card account number.

You'll want to ensure your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac is updated to the latest release. This way, we can ensure the system is running with the newest features and fixes.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the QuickBooks drop-down menu and select Check for QuickBooks Updates.
  2. If a newer version is available, select Install Update.
  3. Select Install and Relaunch when prompted.
  4. When the update is complete, QuickBooks for Mac automatically opens.

You can also check this article for more details: Update QuickBooks for Mac to the latest release.

If this is not the case, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling your QBDT to isolate this issue.

When everything is in place, you might want to utilize this resource for reference in matching your transactions: Add and match transactions in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

I'm all ears if you have any other concerns or follow-up questions about connecting your bank account in QBDT for Mac. I'll be more than happy to work with you again. Keep safe and have a good one!

I appreciate your effort to do some initial steps to resolve the issue, huleeaon.

At this point, it would be best to bring this to our QuickBooks Support, so they can do a screen-sharing session and gather more details to investigate why you can't connect your primary card to Company A. They are available on weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM PT.

  1. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.

I understand that you like to do some research to resolve some issues. I just want to share that you can directly look for QuickBooks for Mac articles on the main support page. Simply scroll down a bit and click More Topics.

Let me know if you have any other concerns with QuickBooks. Have a good one!
