Hello, We wanted to start downloading our credit card transactions online (versus manually entering them). I am in Quickbooks Online (just switched from Enterprise). We set up the accounts and linked. The balance came through but not the transactions. I updated, restarted, disconnected and added again but the transactions won't come through. I tried Chat - after an hour of delays and not even one recommendation - I asked if maybe I should call in and they said:
"Umm...sure". Really?
I do not get an error message. Just no transactions. Any ideas?
Great having you join us here in the Community, @AlpineArtisanStudios. I’ll be glad to assist you in sorting this issue about reconciling an account in QuickBooks Online.
With regards to this matter, you have an option to modify the date in your transactions in the For Review tab. This way, you can view your transactions.
Please see the screenshot below for your reference.
If issue persists, there are times that an issue like this occurs when we encounter a browser-related issue. We can fix this by running some basic troubleshooting steps.
Let's begin by using a private browser to get into your account. When cache builds up, it presents problems that can slow down the system. When you use an incognito window, no cache files are saved.
Then, perform the same task again. If it works fine, clear its cache to delete the cache files that cause unusual responses or use another supported and up-to-date browser to narrow down the result.
To add up, you can always visit this link below to guide you in categorizing your bank entries properly so you can have a smooth reconciliation: Learn how to review bank and credit card transactions after you download them into QuickBooks Online.
If you need more help while working with bank transactions or anything about QBO, just leave me a reply below. Have a good one.
Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank or connection.

UPDATE - So I had to talk to 4 different quickbooks chat people - got dropped off after an hour or so with 3 of them (they kept asking same questions but not one piece of useful advice). 4th person (Jhel) was amazing. Turns out that my bank issued our credit card. The bank transactions can be loaded but their credit card isn't an authorized user to quickbooks. I was talked through the manual process of downloading and uploading and that worked (a couple extra steps then auto loading but soooo much better then individually entering). Thank you to everyone for the help!
