Buy nowI'd like to use Direct Connect to pull ALL my banking data into QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. My bank says that I cannot import bank accounts registered in the name of a trust. They said it is an issue on the QuickBooks side and is out of their control. Is it true? It's actually impossible to use Direct Connect for bank accounts registered in the name of a trust?
Hi AccountingMBC,
You can only connect to searchable bank names and account types in the Bank Feeds section. Those you can't find are not supported for online banking.
Not seeing a connection to a trust account type from your financial institution doesn't necessarily mean an issue. Please note that the decision to provide feeds to QuickBooks is between Intuit and your financial institution. Therefore, including their trust account may still be in the process.
What I can suggest is to update your financial institution directory to ensure having the latest connections. You can refer to this article: Update the Financial Institutions Directory in QuickBooks Desktop. If you still can't find it, you may have to enter the transactions manually this time.
Let me know if you have other questions about banking.
Thanks for the response. To be clear, there is no reason that my bank couldn't work with Intuit to have checking accounts and credit cards registered to trusts added to Direct Connect? This is something specific with my bank? Are there any banks that do allow Direct Connect for accounts registered to trusts?
