I have followed the steps to disconnect and it still shows up in my bank feeds. I have gone through the process on the AMEX link -- it popped back to this window and it is still there....how do I get it to stop? See images.
Hello @wwampler,
You'll have to categorize all your downloaded transactions in the For Review tab before disconnecting your credit card. This can be the reason why it's still connected even if you've completed the steps.
Meanwhile, you also need to refresh the page by clicking the F5 key on your keyboard. Or sign out and log back in to your account after disconnecting your credit card. This way, the system can also update and save the changes you made.
You can also read this helpful article in case you wanted to start reconciling your credit card account and bank transactions: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

all transactions are reconciled and the overall account is reconciled. I have logged out and back in many times. What's next?
Let me clarify the steps to disconnect your AMEX account, wwampler.
You were actually on the right track because when disconnecting an AMEX business account, you'll be routed to their website. With more clicks, you'll be routed to the page with a button that says Disconnect Account. Is this the one you clicked that routed you back to QuickBooks? If not, please follow the steps below:
If you'll be routed back to QuickBooks or nothing happens, please contact AMEX's support to disconnect QuickBooks from your account. You can call their number at the back of your AMEX card. They may ask for your QuickBooks username and password.
If you have other questions in mind, please don't hesitate to go back to this thread.
The steps were followed....several times...AMEX won't talk to me as the account is no longer active with them and they do not have it "connected".... ugh....I can't "deactivate" in chart of accounts for another year...
how do I get it off my bank window???
