It's still not working as of today. I have been unable to connect my account for almost 6 months.

I've doubled-check the system, and we haven't received any reported issues from other users specific to connecting the bank. Can you share with me if you encounter any error message when attempting to download bank transactions?

 

I want to make sure you'll get the support you need to get back on track. Since you're unable to sync your BMO Harris bank for almost six months already, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Support Specialists this time.

 

Please reach them by following these steps:

 

  1. Log into your QuickBooks account.
  2. Click the Help option in the upper-right corner.
  3. Click the Contact us hyperlink.

I'm getting error code 102. I have already reached out to the QB support system and they said the error was on the BMO Harris Bank side. I called BMO Harris Bank and they said they are "working on it".

Has anyone figured out how to connect to BMO Harris Bank with QBO after their migration to Digital Banking?

Has this been resolved?  I just spoke to someone on the BMO technical support team and she said that there is a connection between BMO and QB but I can't seem to make it work.  I had received a message from QB that I needed a PIN but the person said that a PIN was not required.

The investigation of BMO Harris Bank has been resolved for QuickBooks Online Bank Feeds, @Willie Nebraska.

 

You can re-establish the connection between your Financial Institution and QuickBooks Online (QBO) by manually updating your bank account.

 

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Banking from the left menu.
  2. Click on the Update button. QuickBooks Online tries to connect to your bank to manually update your account.
  3. Choose the pencil icon next to the bank name and select Edit sign-in info.
  4. Enter your user ID and password.
  5. Once you're done, click on Save and connect.

 

The manual update option helps the connection to sync up again.

Has anyone figured out how to connect to BMO Harris Bank with QBO after their migration to Digital Banking?

I spoke with someone who was in charge of the connections at BMO (probably 5 months ago?) and they didn't think Harris would ever connect automatically to QBO and it was to do with incompatibility in their platforms.  I have been updating manually since they made the change.

We're not sure how to receive payment from them.

There’s no specific error they’ve mentioned in this thread, @kristinatw.

 

Allow me to provide some information that can help you figure out what ways to receive their payment.

 

In QuickBooks Online, there are few alternatives to get paid. Aside from credit cards, you can select other payment methods available such as cash, check, and even PayPal. If you’ve processed the transaction online, you can choose which method is more convenient for you as a workaround. But be sure to record the payment in the system so the invoice will tag as paid.

 

Here’s how:

 

  1. Select the + New button.
  2. Choose Receive Payment.
  3. Select the name of the customer from the drop-down menu.
  4. From the Outstanding Transactions section, select the transaction.
  5. Select the payment method.
  6. Enter other necessary information such as Reference no. and memo if applicable.
  7. You also have the option to directly deposit the amount to your account or to Undeposited funds account, then click Save and close.

Receiving payments in QuickBooks Online helps maintain an accurate accounts receivable balance. Check out these articles on how to accept fees in QBO:

 

 

You can also let your customer try once more to pay you online using the BMO Bank Harris card. This way, we can determine the exact issue that occurs if they’re unable to process the payment online. Otherwise, you may consider the options I’ve provided to get this settled.

We set up and enabled all payment options offered in QB. We have a customer who wants to pay by using his BMH Harris Bank credit card. His error message: "sorry, we can't accept this payment." 

Does Quickbooks accept payments from BMO Harris Bank? 

Please accept how we could receive this customer's money.

We can let your customers try paying the invoice through a private browser. It's possible that the browser's cache stored too much file that caused unexpected behavior when paying it through the regular browser. To open one, they can use these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If they're able to pay without any error prompts, they can clear the cache of their regular browser. They can also try using other browsers in paying the invoice through BMO Harris Bank.

 

If you get the same thing I'd suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Payments Support Team so they can look into the cause of the error. They'll also give additional steps on how to isolate these issues.

I am having the same problems with BMO bank feed.  Used to work now it doesn't.  The threaded advice from QBO does not work.  Anyone figured this out yet?

I've doubled-check here on our records, and we haven't received any reported issues about connecting BMO Harries bank in QBO. There are some possible reasons why your bank is not working. Among these are: 

  • There is a minor or major update in your bank information such as the bank account number.
  • Update on your bank’s website. If you can't find your FI, you can request support for your bank and request it be added.
  • Updates in your Online Banking Login credentials.
  • Bank outage and other scheduled maintenance.

 

Since you already performed the recommended solutions on this thread, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Support Team to investigate what's causing this banking issue. To ensure we address your concern, our representatives are available from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturdays, PST. See our support hours and types for more details about this one.

 

In the meantime, you can manually import your bank transactions using.CSV a file. You can download transactions from your bank's website and upload them to QBO. Just follow the steps and details in the Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online article.
