Hi I add my bank account but I don’t see any transactions

If none download from your bank, then add them manually in the account register.

Hi I add my bank account but I don’t see any transactions

Getting all transactions accounted for keeps your financial data accurate and up-to-date, vipremontllc. I'll walk you through the process of making sure that all of them are downloaded in QuickBooks Online.

Before we begin, could you please confirm whether you've only added the bank account to your chart of accounts? Please note that while this is a necessary step, it doesn't automatically trigger the import or display of your transactions in QuickBooks Online.

There are additional steps required to fully connect your bank account and sync your financial data. Let's walk through these steps together to make sure you're getting the most out of this feature.

To automatically sync transactions, you'll need to establish a connection with your actual bank. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to your chart of accounts and look for the bank.
  2. Click the drop-down list beside View register, then choose Connect bank
  3. Enter the URL or name of your bank in the Search field.
  4. Select your bank, then type in your credentials in the Login and Password fields.
  5. Choose Continue and select the account that you want to connect and the date to pull transactions. Then, select Next.
  6. Choose the type of account in the drop-down list for Account type, then select Next.
  7. Follow the subsequent prompts to successfully sync your bank account.

Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months.

If the account is already connected but does not show any transactions, let's do a manual update to resync the account. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions and select Bank transactions.
  2. Click Update in the right-hand corner.

Once done, go back to the For review tab to check if the transactions are now showing up.

Alternatively, you can manually add the transactions directly to your bank register. Here's an article as a guide: Manually add transactions to account registers in QuickBooks Online.
