Join nowI'll show you how to add a class and location tracking to a transaction fee, leanne9.
QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced subscribers have this feature and for us to use it, we'll need to turn it on first. I'll show you how:
Go to the Gear icon and click Account and Settings.
To add our first class and location, let's go back to the settings (gear icon) menu and select All Lists. Just click on Classes and click New, same thing with Locations. We can now create a transaction and assign a class or location. I attached a screenshot using the Bank Deposit screen.
If the bank we used for intuit transaction fees is connected within QuickBooks as Online Banking, we can add a location and class from there. We'll just need to click on the transaction to see the options.
We can check out these article for more information on how to use and handle the class and location tracking feature.
Feel free to get back to me if you need anything else. Take care!
Is there a way to choose a default location & class for the Intuit transaction fee expenses that QB automatically enters?
Thanks for joining this thread, @e_eisele.
I see how beneficial it is to your business to automatically enter a class and location for your transaction fee. As of now, the option to do so isn't available. You'll have to edit the transaction and enter it. Rest assured, I'll let our Product engineers know about this so they'll add this in the future.
They are always working in enhancing QuickBooks Online (QBO) to suit the needs of our users. In the meantime, you can look for a third-party app that has this feature. You can go to the Apps menu in your account or visit our QuickBooks App Store for reference.
Additionally, you can submit feedback so our Product engineers can take a look and review it. Let me show you how.
You can also see this link for more details: How do I submit feedback?
Moreover, you might want to visit our QuickBooks Blog page to stay updated on the latest news and release about QuickBooks.
Let me also add this link that can guide you through the detailed steps in matching your accounts: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
Keep me in the loop if you have other questions about managing your intuit transaction fee. I'll be around ready to help you. Have a great good one ahead!
