How do I add my Navy Federal Business Bank Account? When I log into my personal acct, the Ditale Acct isn't showing up.

Good day, @ditaleoutdoors-.

I'm here to help you figure this out and connect your account to QuickBooks.

Here are a few possible reasons why you can't connect to the bank and how to fix them:

  • Some banks have multiple names on our list. You might want to check and select the correct one or try all possible links.
  • The bank may not be a participating bank. You can contact the bank to request if they can establish a relationship with Intuit.

Additionally, did you get any error messages during the connection process? If so, can you share it with me so I provide you further help in connecting your account? Any additional info would be much appreciated.

In the meantime, you’ll want to manually upload your bank transactions to your account. Let me guide you how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select Upload transactions.
  2. Click Browse and choose the file you downloaded from your bank.
  3. Select Next.
  4. In the QuickBooks account drop-down list, select the account you want to upload the transactions into and select Next.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, click Next.
  6. Choose the transactions you would like to import, then select Next.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. When you're ready, select Let's go.

Once that your transactions are in QuickBooks, it's time to match and categorize them.

Let me know if you have any other concerns managing your bank feeds. I’ll be around ready to help you. Take care and keep safe.

@-ditaleoutdoors-

Utilize the trial version of SlickConnect to isolate the issue. If the same error persists, your bank is the problem.

Hello there, @JohnOz. Thanks for posting and joining here.

All supported bank accounts can be linked to QuickBooks Online.

As an initial step, I recommend logging in to the bank's website. Once signed in, copy the bank URL and use it for searching and linking the correct account in QuickBooks. Doing this helps us ensure we're linking the correct account. Here's how:

  1. From the left menu, click Transactions and choose Banking.
  2. On the Banking page, select the Link account.
  3. In the Search field, enter the bank's URL.
  4. Select your bank. If you see multiple options, you may have to repeat these steps to find the correct one.
  5. Enter your bank login on your bank's website, then select Continue.

If the same thing happens, you can manually upload the bank transactions using the CSV file to continue bringing them to QuickBooks as suggested by my colleague ReymondO. You'll need to download transactions from your bank by logging in to your bank's website. Once done, upload them to your book by following these steps:

  1. Sign to your QBO account and select Transactions on the left panel.
  2. Click the Link account drop-down arrow.
  3. Select Upload from file. Then, click the file you've saved on your computer.

How do I add my Navy Federal Business Bank Account? When I log into my personal acct, the Ditale Acct isn't showing up.

UPDATE: SEPT 2021

I am a Navy Federal Business User with multiple accounts and have an external bookkeeper that does my administration.

Issue Part 1: It needed constant re-authorizations to get balances and sometimes would not connect at all or lose connectivity constantly.

Solution Part 1:

(1) You MUST call the "Digital Services Department" (Tel: 888-842-6328) other departments do not have access to the options needed OR do not know how QB works.

(2) Ask the Rep to set accounts to "BYPASS 2 STEP VERIFICATION FOR ONLINE BANKING" - This option is ONLY visible and AVAILABLE to this department!

(3) Verify while on the phone that you can now Sync without constant "Re-Authentication" by hitting the accounts Update button.  DO NOT HANG UP UNTIL YOU CAN DO SO...the change is near-instant.

Issue Part 2: The Digital Services Department Rep also discussed another issue that keeps accounts from Sync via 3rd party connections.  The Security Questions for your account are sent to you on a RANDOM schedule.  If by chance the 3rd party app does not "pass" your security questions to you, the bank authentication goes on a "loop".  Because you cannot answer the questions, because 3rd party cannot pass them to the screen for you to answer, it will block you endlessly.

Solution Part 2: SAME AS SOLUTION 1

Hope this Helps many with Navy Federal...Please hit the CHEER button so the answer comes up for fellow members.

How do I add my Navy Federal Business Bank Account? When I log into my personal acct, the Ditale Acct isn't showing up.

Having the same issue. The problem is that when I login to my bank website, it initially loads my non-business accounts. I have to choose my business account from a drop down menu. It appears that Quickbooks doesn't have the capability to see the extra accounts behind the drop down menu. Quickbooks only loads the accounts that initially load just as if I'm logging into my banks website. Quickbooks does not have a sub-account feature or a drop down menu to get into the business accounts deeper in the system.

The solution is to ensure you have a DIRECT login only for your business accounts. Use that login to connect to Quickbooks.

Welcome to the thread, @stray123.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can only connect one account either the parent or the sub-accounts. If you have multiple sub-accounts under one financial institution, you need to know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions before connecting them.

Thus, if the bank transactions need to download to the individual accounts, you will need to connect them one at a time. By doing this, you will see the account balances for each register.

Let me show you the steps on how to do it:

  1. In the left menu, click the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select Connect Account on the landing page, or select Add account or Link account if you've already created an account.
  3. Find your bank from the list, or use the search bar to look for it.
  4. After filling out all the required information, press Connect.
