How do you disable bank feeds on an account on QB Desktop???

I was getting the same message when trying to deactivate the bank feed. I finally created a new bank account name in the chart of accounts. Then I went to the old account and named it the same as the new one I created. It asked if I wanted to merge. I said yes. and they merged. The lightening bolt went away, the bank feed was disconnected and the new check register has all my transactions.  I hope it works for you too.

How do you disable bank feeds on an account on QB Desktop???

Thanks Pam... that's the fix that removed the bank feed icon for me! After merging, I had to edit the account in the Chart of Accounts and disable the bank feed... and no crazy error message appeared about entering data in online services.

I also started obtaining this error (bank feed icon appeared) after uploading a web connect file to this cash account. That then prevented me from linking the cash account to an actual bank feed since the system thought the account was already linked. I surely won't be using web connect files again... maybe QB will fix it one day.
