Do you need to convert data from Quicken to QB Desktop US or QB Online US?

Which Quicken year version do you have?

I have Quickbooks Home & Business 2016 in Australia. I need to get out my old data as my install key no longer is working and support says they no longer support the software at all.

using the trial will it open a .qdf file from 2016 Home & Business

Using the trial version is indeed a workaround for opening your files. Otherwise, you can buy a 3rd party service to convert your data to a cloud based accounting app in AU (e.g QBO, Xero, MYOB)
