Hi,
One of the companies that I am handling, the bank statement can view in Reconcile part without requesting from Quickbooks. It's showing there for the past 3 months. But it was not the same set up on the other companies. Is there anyway or how to request this set up?
Thanks.
Nelia

Thanks for getting back to us, @Nelia.
I know that the View Statement feature is useful to you and your business. At this time, this feature is supported only by a few select banks. We're working with the banks to expand this ability, so rest assured that this will eventually be standard for all accounts.
In the meantime, I recommend keeping an eye out on our blog for further updates and news in QuickBooks.
Let me know if you have any other questions by sending a reply. I'm here to help. Have a good one!
Glad to see you here in the Community, Nelia.
I know that adding the View statements feature is very beneficial to your business. This option is still available in QuickBooks Online Canada.
We love to hear how the program can work best for you. I’m sending feedback about this option on your behalf for consideration in future updates.

Hi Rasa,
Thank you for the response.
Yes the View Statement is available but not available yet in the other companies that we are handling.
Is there any way how to apply this?
Good to hear from you again, @Nelia.
Reconciling your bank statement can be viewed depending on your access permissions. Are you the Company admin or a Standard user with access to all tasks of the account?
If not, this can be the reason why you're unable to view and access it. You'll need to contact the Master Admin of the account to change your access rights.
I'm adding this helpful article to help you manage your account and other related tasks: QBO Self-Help.
Keep me posted in the comments if you have any other questions. Thanks!
Hi,
I can view the reconciliation statement and have access to it.
The Quickbooks has new features wherein "View Statement" is visible already. But this feature is not available in some other company that I am handling though its a group of companies.
That's what I am asking, how to request or need to update to get the latest features of Quickbooks to see "View Statement"
Thank you.

Hi, Just want to confirm. What type of QB access do I need to view and download the statements. Is it Accountant access or something else? Thank you.
I'm here to ensure you're able to download bank statements, ces40.
You can use a Standard or Accountant access to view and download the statements in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Here's how to manage users in QBO:
To download the bank statements, I suggest checking out this article to learn the step by steps process: Get Bank Statements.
Once done reconciling, you can print your reconciliation report for future use. This helps you fix any reconciliation issue.

HI and thank you.
So specific banks are not supporting the View Statement? Is this why I am not seeing the 'View Statement' button?
One client is with QBO Simple Start. The statements I'm trying to view are with Bank of America.
Thanks,
ny
We can work this out together why you're not seeing the View Statement button, nonyanon.
The availability of a certain feature in QuickBooks depends on the level of subscription. The View Statement option is only available in QuickBooks Online Plus, Advanced, Accountant, and QuickBooks Live users.
You may ask your client to upgrade to any of the subscriptions I mentioned above for you to view the statement.
Also, you can check this article to learn about how to import bank statements to help you reconcile an account: Get bank statements directly from your bank when you reconcile.
I'm always here to keep helping if you have any additional banking concerns. Happy holidays!
The link didn't go to a specific article, but rather to the "home" page where you can search. I didn't get any great hits for info on the Statement Download feature.
If you have a specific article, will you provide the link please.
I've having specific probliems with Chase. They don't seem to be available until ~ the 8th of the month for EOM statements and I don't know why. There isn't an Update icon appearing eh the statement window either lthat I can see for some other banks/clients.
Thanks for any tips on resolving this.
Hello there, @DKC.
I can see that the link you've opened is for the QuickBooks Online Self-Help. Allow me to share some details about this the availability of the bank statements.
Our Product developers are working with the banks hand in hand to show this feature. As of now, the statements feature is available on these banks: Supported banks for statement feature. JP Morgan is not in the list as of the moment.
As a workaround, I'd suggest getting the statement from your bank's website to use it during the reconciliation process.
I've added this article you can refer to get updates about the statement feature: Get bank statements directly from your bank when you reconcile.
I'll be here if you have other questions. Please don't hesitate to let me know by using the Reply button. Take care.
How can I report or troubleshoot banks that are listed on the financial institution list but not fetching in QBO?
Thanks for joining this thread, @TSutter. I'm here to further help you connect your bank to QuickBooks.
May I know the specific bank you're having problems with? Any additional information is a great help so I can provide you with a timely solution. Then, to confirm any connection issues between your bank and QuickBooks Online (QBO), I suggest reaching out to them to check for any maintenance updates, notifications, or alerts you need to take action.
If verified that everything is fine on your bank's end, reconnect it again to QBO and ensure you select the correct name. Here's how:
To get additional troubleshooting steps with fixing the connecting of your bank with QBO, check out this article: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
You also may consider uploading your bank transactions manually in QBO. To do so, you'll need to download them from your bank in a CSV file format.
Once all of your bank transactions are in, you can find them in the For Review tab. This is where you match and categorize them to make sure they belong to the correct account.
Feel free to add your reply below if you have further concerns connecting your bank to QBO. I'll standby to help you out. Have a good one and take care.
The banks that are on your list of financial institutions that bring in transactions are: Centennial Bank and South State Bank. The bank feeds work fine it's the STATEMENT FETCHING that I'm not getting. I've disconnected and reconnected these banks multiple times but still don't get the monthly statements. Could it be that the banks allow certain access to data but not all -- like monthly statements?
Hi, @TSutter.
Thank you for your prompt reply. I appreciate you for following the steps provided by my colleague above.
Yes, QuickBooks Online (QBO) is dependent on what the bank shares. If you’re unable to see all the transactions, you can download the CSV file directly from your bank for an accurate list of your transactions.
Refer to this article for information how you can upload CSV files in QBO: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
I’ve added this article for your reference in reconciling an account in QuickBooks: Get bank statements directly from your bank when you reconcile.
Tell me if you need further assistance regarding your statements. You can always hit the Reply button. Have a great day!
