how to terminate quickbooks checking

Hey there, @chashas1.

We regret to see you leave. We aim to simplify the process of canceling your QuickBooks Payments account. To proceed, please ensure that your account has a $0 balance. You can either utilize your remaining balance or transfer it to your external bank account.

In case you have purchased bitcoin through QuickBooks, you must sell the balance of your bitcoin and await the funds to be deposited into your QuickBooks Checking account.

Once the balance is $0, give us a call at the number on the back of your QuickBooks Debit Card. Our team is available to assist you in finalizing everything. Alternatively, you can contact our QuickBooks Payments Support to close the account.

To get answers to frequently asked questions about QuickBooks Checking, you can refer to this article: QuickBooks Checking FAQ.

If you have further concerns about canceling your QuickBooks Checking account, please let me know. I'll be here to help you out. Have a good one.

how to terminate quickbooks checking

Thanks for the help.

I have had 2 cases pop up, Oct 19 and Nov 20, out of the blue, saying RO1 for both, insufficient funds, with fees and in the first an amt of $2550.   First talk w Christina concluded there had to be an error and I would have my money credited back.  This RO1 supposedly happened in April.  No notice til Oct 19!  The Nov 20 case, handled by Jakob today, was basically the same- no holds on my account, no problem that he could see at all.   So it’s very mysterious that you or Green Dot Bank are taking my money when your employees can find nothing wrong.
Do I need to sue to get my money back?
There is no other recourse thru the help or support systems.  My personal bank has verified I have never had insufficient funds with them.
Extremely upset!

This is really disappointing. You should allow us to "disconnect on save" as we do with other bank accounts. Not a good look.

This post is misleading and incorrect. It says "Alternatively, you can contact our QuickBooks Payments Support to close the account." However, when I contacted QB Payments Support to close our account, I was told "this is not the right department for you as the Green Dot team can only help you out." Just wasted 40 minutes connecting with 3 Intuit reps to get to this conclusion.

Intuit, this convoluted, time-consuming process to simply close one of your products is not consistent with your company's stated values and is not on-brand.

We acknowledge the effort you've put in so far, @meldridge. Let me jump in on this thread and provide more details on how to close your QuickBooks (QB) Checking account.

You are correct. Green Dot support is the department that can assist you with this procedure. To get help, please call the number on the back of your QB Checking card. This will connect you to a Green Dot representative who will assist you through the process.

Before closing your QB Checking account, ensure it has a zero balance. If it has a balance, you can either spend or transfer it.

Here are the steps for transferring the balance:

  1. Go to Lending & banking and choose QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Select Transfer and click Transfer money.
  3. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
  4. Choose your QB Checking account in the Form dropdown.
  5. In the To dropdown, click your connected bank account.
  6. Hit Next and select Finish transfer.

Moreover, you can also connect to the Green Dot team by asking for a transfer from our QB Payment Support for the closing of the account.

Additionally, you can check this article for the common questions about QB Checking: QuickBooks Checking FAQ.

Please return to this thread if you have other queries about QB Checking. We'll be here to lend a hand.
