I can't link my Lowe's commercial credit card to QBO. They changed their URL and QBO doesn't recognize it. Can I manually add the URL to QBO?

This has now been broken for a month.  Is there a process to escalate this to more senior and competent  technologists in the QB organisation?  As other replies on this thread have made abundantly  clear, the many generic responses to date from QBO support, appreciating our patience and wishing us a great day are at best unhelpful and at worst downright annoying.

Let's be honest - this issue is not being addressed by QB. There may be an open investigation, but it is likely sitting on a list in some tech's inbox. Changing the URL of a bank connection is about as quick and simple as it gets, it's just not getting done. Synchrony knows what the problem is, we know what the problem is, even QBO support knows what the problem is. Clearly this is a widespread issue, as Lowe's is one of the largest vendors for small businesses in the country. But it has taken over a month to change a URL.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Keep posting here! Open a new ticket every day! Keep calling QB support! Call your congressman! Shout it from the rooftops!

We will not rest until Lowe's Commercial account links are reestablished. No canned support responses will distract us from our purpose and our patience will no longer be appreciated because we have none left to give. We shall overcome!

We have been having the same issue for 5 weeks now. QB has been of no support. Every time you call you start the entire process over and everyone claims they have no idea what is going on. So frustrating

Having the same problem with our Lowe's commercial account and QBO. The Lowe's connection has been down since end of March. Please post a fix for this. Thanks!

Just today's reminder that QBO has still not fixed the Lowe's Commercial Account linking issue. If you're new to the thread, know that none of the of the support responses are helpful and that this issue is being ignored without any updates from QBO despite this being a hugely widespread issue for its users.

Have a great day!

The fact that this issue has been ongoing for well over one month now is a sign that Intuit is not interested in serving their customers with a product that solves accounting problems. Based on the lack of a real response to this issue, such as actually solving the problem, it appears Intuit simply wants to continue to collect a monthly fee from customers for a product that does not work. In most of our businesses, customers refuse to pay for a product that does not work. However, in the SaaS business it is very clear from the EULA that they make no claim about the usability of the product and are not responsible if it causes problems for their customers.

I received another email from Intuit telling me that I need to call them so they could use a remote session to make sure I was doing everything correctly to connect my account to the Lowes commercial account...as though I don't actually know how to do this! Incredible! Just fix the problem Intuit...please.

Have a nice day!

It's day 34 of this issue. Have you made your QBO support contact today? Every voice helps!

As a reminder, there have been no updates on this issue and all that needs to be done is for QBO to change the URL of the bank connection.

Enjoy your Thursday!

I spoke with support today, shared my screen with Glance, showed them the issue with the Lowe's Commerical Account connection, and showed them all the comments on this thread.

They suggested submitting our concerns and comments through the "Feedback" section inside of QBO, as this goes directly to the developers who are the only people who can do anythign about this. (Screenshot below shows how to get there).

In addition to posting your complaints here, post them there too!

Man this really sucks. I am one of the many who are suffering from this issue. This thread was super helpful - finally cleared things up. My account also stopped working at the end of March. I have also tried all of the fixes mentioned here to no avail. Please help Quickbooks!

I personally think this is ridiculous. I did the remote and the tech messed my books up by manually adding invoices from Lowe's.  But yet I'm still billed by quickbooks and there not giving me the service I signed up for! May be a class action lawsuit in the future if this problem isn't resolved soon! Thanks and have a great day

It's day 35 and happy Cinco de Mayo! Today's a great day to reflect on how QBO couldn't care less about you as a valuable user and customer and only gives lip service in it's incompetent support. But remember, they do appreciate your patience.

Enjoy your weekend!

I am also having this issue and hope I can be resolved. Obviously being resolved quickly it's no longer an option but hopefully they will get to it. When I spoke to Lowes about it, they said that Lowes does not officially integrate with Quickbooks, but they are working on "something".

Wow, this is still not fixed. 40 days without the ability to sync. This is the second time this has happened in less than 12 months and is frustrating to say the least. It almost seems like they are ignoring the issue.

Yes - I am still struggling with this issue. In the process of troubleshooting, I disconnected my Lowe's account (that could not sync/update). I add a new online Lowe's account.  I have tried using the URL https://lowes.syf.com/commercial/.  Does anyone have any other ideas?  I have called into QBO 3 times (including a call I am on now).

We are here to help and will do everything possible to make things right for you, Brady7. So you can juggle other important tasks in your business.

I recognize the importance of having a seamless connection between your credit card and QuickBooks, and we're committed to helping you achieve that.

Due to an update, the link to re-connect the Lowes Commercial Credit Card is currently unavailable in QuickBooks. We regret any inconvenience caused by Lowes Bank's connectivity issue. Please be assured that we take this matter seriously and that our engineering team and your Financial Institution are already working on a solution.

However, if you're trying to re-connect the Lowes Consumer Credit Card, the link you provided works in QuickBooks. See the sample screenshot below for more reference:

That said, you should be able to connect it seamlessly. If this is not the case, I'd recommend logging into your account through incognito mode. This way, we can see if the problem is with the browser.

Here are the shortcuts for the keyboard:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
  •  Control + Option + P (Safari)
  •  Ctrl + Shift + P (Microsoft Edge)

If the issue persists, consider using another supported browser to help fix the problem.

In the meantime, consider manually downloading your credit card data. This way, you can categorize and reconcile your bank regularly.

Moreover, I've included some articles below to assist you in correcting some upload and reconciliation errors in QuickBooks:

Lastly, did you receive any error messages while re-connecting the credit card? Any additional information will help me provide other troubleshooting steps to help fix the issue you've been experiencing.

I recognize the value of your time, and I appreciate your patience as we work on this. Please reply to this thread for further information. Keep safe always.

Michelle - thanks for replying.  My problem centers around my Lowe's Commercial Credit Card account.

Please keep me posted on this matter. My account was synchronized with QB for years, and only recently stopped working. If it is in your power to do so, please escalate this issue. It impacts my ability to smoothly keep track of my Lowe's commercial credit card transactions.

Best,

Michelle - thanks for replying to my post. My problem centers around connecting my Lowe's Commercial Credit Card account. This issue is prohibiting me from easily tracking my Lowe's commercial transactions. This account was connected with any problems for years. If it is within your power to do so, can you please escalate this matter within Intuit?

Honestly I'm shocked that there are so many people experiencing the same problem (and I am one of them) and yet Quickbooks cannot seem to get this fixed promptly.  This is clearly a Quickbooks problem.  For the amount of money we all pay each month to use Quickbooks to manage our businesses, Quickbooks should be refunding us some money since we cannot use this feature to import the transactions we make with Lowe's.  If you're in the contracting business (as I am), you have a lot of transactions with Lowe's.  This is really unacceptable.  Quickbooks needs to escalate this and get is solved.  It has been broken for several months.

We are one step closer, but QBO still does not take seriously a major bank connection issue for its customers.

Lowe's Commercial Card (Synchrony) no longer shows as unavailable/under maintenance when linking the account. It now directs to the correct URL (great job IT guy with the long list of to-dos!) and you can successfully enter your credentials...

BUT...It then wants you to do "something" at the Lowe's website. What is that something? It doesn't say. Maybe it's to check some setting box to provide Quickbooks access. Maybe it's to confirm some kind of third party access. Maybe it's to pray and humble yourself before the product developers that seem to have other priorities than developing their product.

More than likely it's wanting you to dismiss the "Welcome" splash screen on the Lowe's credit center website, which pops up and prevents QBO from downloading transactions. Problem is, that splash screen pops up with every login and can't be permanently dismissed.

Maybe Lowe's/Synchrony will take that splash screen down after some time when they get over themselves and how great their new system is. Or maybe QBO will recognize that they still haven't fixed this major issue for their customers and build in a workaround for a simple splash screen. Or maybe we will all spend the time we have leftover after manually entering and reconciling hundreds of Lowe's transactions exploring alternative accounting software that does what it promises and respects its customers. It's difficult to say.

Cincyfloors and legion of the disaffected,  I contacted the CEO of Intuit last week to make him aware of this problem and our collective frustration.  He responded very quickly and put me in direct touch with a technologist in the QBO Care team.  I sent her screenshots on Monday of the 'click-path', including the unhelpful "Welcome" screen on the "Improved" Lowe's website.  They are working on this, fingers crossed for a solution in the not too distant future. 47 days and counting.

WE JUST WANT TO KNOW WHEN QBO WILL HAVE THE SYNCHRONY BANK ISSUE RESOLVED BECAUSE WE PAY MONEY FOR THIS SERVICE AND IT'S BEEN SINCE 3/30/2023 THAT WE COULD LAST USE THE LOWE'S BANKING FEED AND WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THE ENGINEERS ARE WORKING ON THE ISSUE BUT WHEN I TALK TO SYNCHRONY THEY SAY THE CONNECTION WAS BROKEN AND IT'S ALL ON QUICKBOOKS TO GET US BACK UP AND RUNNING. I'M SURE LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPANY WHEN THERE IS AN ISSUE FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME THEY WILL SAY WE ARE SHORT HANDED. STOP SELLING YOUR PRODUCT IF YOU CAN'T SUPPORT US.
