Hello there, @deanslistwoodwor. I'm here to guide you on how you can download CSV files in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When importing transactions into QBO, ensure to follow the correct format by putting the Date, Description, and Amount. Also, double-check that the total number of rows does not exceed 1000.

I recommend using an incognito or private browser when importing transactions. If the issue persists, please contact our Support team so they can investigate further. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online.
  2. Select Help (?) in the upper right corner.
  3. Choose or type Contact Us.
  4. Type your concern, then select Let's Talk or Start a chat with a support expert.

I've added this article to help you manage your transactions in QBSE: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have any additional QuickBooks-related questions or need assistance with transactions in QBO, feel free to reach out to us at any time. Our team is always available to provide support. Stay safe.

I downloaded a CSV file from my bank activities and when I try to import it Quickbooks just errors out saying I need to contact support.

None of this worked. I used Inocgnito and made sure that the CSV only had the columns for Date, Description, Amount only and in this order.

Further I can only contact support by calling during business hours which I am busy working. Now I have to stop and fix this issue. Why isn't there an option to solve this via email? I guess I don't pay enough for such a privilege.

I downloaded a CSV file from my bank activities and when I try to import it Quickbooks just errors out saying I need to contact support.

None of this worked. I tried a private browsing session in Edge, same result. I tried Incognito mode in Chrome, same result. I've made sure that the CSV file only contains the columns for Date, Description, and Amount in that order.

I may not be able to call during normal business hours because I am actually working during those hours. I'm very unimpressed with not being to resolve this over email. I guess I don't pay enough for that privilege.

@deanslistwoodwor

Use the trial version of csv2qbo converter tool to isolate the problem. Did you encounter the same problem?

I'm sorry this takes me to a place to sign up for a subscription service and I cannot find where to download just a trial of the software only. The email their system sent was to download something about PDF+ once I found where to select a converter from CSV to QBO. Then it took me to a page to sign up for a subscription service. I am not paying a 3rd party for the privilege of using Quickbooks that I already pay a monthly subscription for.
