2 questions:

1. How many user license do you have?

2. Any network environment available at your place?

Hello,

I believe I am allowed 3 users.

Yes, I do have internet available.

My prior assistant was able to download QB for me, she no longer works for me so me being the illiterate one, I cannot figure this out?

Thank you for your help.

You can setup a local area network at your place

Another option, utilize a remote desktop app. You don;t need to install any QuickBooks on second computer

Should you need to work on multi-user mode, you will need another solution

Hello, propertylistingg.

I'd be glad to help you restore your QuickBooks Desktop company file. To bring the company file to your newly downloaded QuickBooks Desktop, you can create a backup of your data and restore it.

Let me show you how:

  1. In QuickBooks, go to the File menu and select Switch to Single-user Mode.
  2. Go to the File menu again and hover over Back up Company. Then select Create Local Backup.
  3. In the window, select Local Backup and then Next.
  4. In the Local Backup Only section, select Browse and select where you want to save your backup company file.
  5. This runs a test to make sure your backup file is in good shape before you save.
  6. When you're ready, select OK.
  7. Select Save it now and Next.

Once done, you follow the steps below in restoring your data to your newly downloaded QuickBooks.

  1. Click File at the top menu bar and choose Open or Restore Company.z.PNG
  2. Select Restore a backup copy then click Next.x.PNG
  3. Then select the Local backup and hit Next.
  4. Locate the saved backup copy and click Open.c.PNG
  5. When you're ready, select Save. If you see any messages about possibly overwriting your data, select the option that best fits your needs.
