I use Quickbooks Checking, but under Banking, transactions are only showing up back to October 2021. I need all transactions for the year to show up there for the year.

Is there a way to import the missing transactions from the beginning of the year - October so that my accountant can catch up my books for the year/categorize them?

Let's bring those bank transactions in QuickBooks, @alicia-wondermin.

I'm glad to share with you some information on how online banking works in QuickBooks Online (QBO). When connecting a bank account to QBO, it only downloads the last 90 days (or more) of transactions from your bank. If you need to get the older transactions, you'll need to upload them manually

The following are the supported file types you can use in uploading your transactions:

• Comma-Separated Values (CSV)

• QuickBooks Online (QBO)

• Quicken (QFX)

• Open Financial Exchange (OFX)

Note that the file types will depend on your bank. Also, the option to add a transaction using PDF files is currently unavailable. If your bank only produces a PDF file, you'll have to use a third-party app when manually uploading bank transactions to convert them. You can visit our QuickBooks apps store to check if there are free converters compatible with QBO.

Here's how to upload a CSV file:

1. Go to the Banking or Transaction menu.

2. Select Upload transactions.

3. Click select files or drag and drop your CSV file.

4. Locate where your CSV file is saved.

5. Hit Continue.

6. Choose the bank account for the bank file you want to upload. Then Continue.

7. Select the correct format for your data. Then hit Continue again.

8. Checkmark the transaction you wish to add or select all.

9. Once done, click Continue and Yes to confirm.

10. Select Done.

Thanks so much - I understand all that. But I cannot for the life of me, find a way to download all my quickbooks checking transactions. Quickbooks checking IS my bank. However, when I go under Quickbooks checking, there is no place to export the banking transactions. HELP! Do I need to somehow go through Green Dot who its powered by? I dont have a Green Dot login for the card/account.

Hi there, alicia-wondermin,

Thanks for the additional information.

Yes, you'll want to contact Green Dot Bank to request a downloadable copy of your transactions. If you also have a card, you can call the number at the back of the card.

Once you have the transactions, you can follow the steps and the articles that my colleague shared above.
