If transactions over the last month are not showing up in the reconciliation window for a connected bank account, what should I do?

I can help you with that, lesley11.

We can go to the Banking menu and then review your matched/added bank transactions. This way, we'll be able to verify if they're properly matched and posted to the correct accounts. Let me show you how:

  1. Select Banking or Transactions from the sidebar menu.
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Select the blue tile for the bank account you want to review.
  4. Go to the Categorized tab.
  5. Click the link in the Added or Matched column to review the transaction.

If the transactions are incorrectly matched, you can unmatch and recategorize them so that they'll show up in the Reconciliation page.

Alternatively, we can adjust the filters in the Reconciliation page to ensure that all of your bank transactions are shown. Feel free to follow these simple steps:

  1. Select Accounting from the sidebar menu.
  2. Go to the Reconcile tab.
  3. Enter the necessary information, then choose Start reconciling.
  4. Click the Funnel icon, then make sure to set the appropriate filters (see below).

Thanks, that's not exactly what I'm asking about. That last transaction that is showing is from 8/18 so I am missing a month's worth of transactions. How do I get them to appear? Is there something wrong with the connection to my bank account?

Hi there, lesley11.

I'm here to assist you with fixing this banking issue.

The most possible reason why we experience this behavior is because of the bank's system maintenance. This can block QuickBooks which will result in missing transactions.

We can manually update the connection between the bank and QuickBooks Online. This helps in bringing in the transactions so you can reconcile them.

Simply go to Banking, select the blue tile of the affected account, and click the Update button.lesley11.PNG

I added this link for more details on what to do if you see a bank error or bank transactions won’t download.

If transactions over the last month are not showing up in the reconciliation window for a connected bank account, what should I do?

Hi! I am having this problem as I try to reconcile my statements for 2021. Everything is showing up except all payments and deposits for August 2021. I went through and categorized everything for August '21 and it shows up in my banking statements but when I try to reconcile for the month of August they all disappear. How can I fix this?

Hello Hannah He!

Thanks for joining this post. Allow me to help you in reconciling your account.

The first thing we need to check is that we entered the correct ending Ending date. Transactions dated beyond the Ending date will not appear on the reconciliation page. Click the Edit info button to verify and edit it, then Save.

Also, toggle the filter to All so that you'll see all transactions that need to be reconciled including payments and deposits.

If the same thing happens, it could be because of the browser. You'll want to use an incognito window and check the reconcile the account from there. Incognito won't save your browsing history which can result in an error.

These are some of the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Also, you'll want to clear the cache and make sure you're using a supported and up-to-date browser. This can fix any browser-related issues.
