Is anyone else sick of the non-answers support provides? I can't get a clear answer to a question re instant deposits and how it is determined which deposits are eligible

I asked why today's deposit is not eligible for instant deposit when the deposit from the same customer, same bank, was eligible last week, and the invoice was paid earlier than the previous one (before 10AM CT). I asked if there was a limit and was told "it varies depending on the customer" but didn't get a limit amount for my account. Just it just depend on their mood? Maybe they just didn't feel like doing instant deposits today? I'm paying way too much every month for such a vague answer. Am I missing something?

This isn't the kind of experience we want you to have when contacting our Customer Support, @chefsallie-gmail. With this, I'd like to make your experience better and share further details about instant deposits in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When you use QuickBooks Payments' instant deposits feature to process customer payments in QBO, you can request to get funds into your bank account in less than 30 minutes.

Eligible transactions will show as available for instant deposits. But not all payments are qualified for it since QuickBooks checks every transaction for eligibility. You can use Instant Deposit up to 3 times daily, not exceeding the $5,000 limit. With this, your deposit may have exceeded the maximum amount per day. That's why it's not accepted for instant deposits.

To learn more about instant deposits, I would encourage you to check out these articles:

Also, to further guide you on how you can check when QuickBooks deposits customer payments into your bank account, I'd recommend checking out this article: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

Please keep me posted if you have other instant deposit concerns and questions about managing customer payments in QBO. I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @chefsallie-gmail.

That's my whole frustration. This transaction was well under the $5000 daily limit. It was identical to a previous transaction except the invoice amount. Same customer. Paid with the same checking account the customer used for her previous invoice. Same deposit account and same QB check card selected for instant deposit option. Invoice was paid before 10AM CT and I received an email confirming payment almost immediately. The previous transaction from last month that DID quality for instant deposit was just a little less than this one, and was posted later in the day than this one (around noon). I received a deposit notification an hour later and was able to do an instant deposit on that one. Today's transaction seems to match all of the criteria to make it eligible. Why wasn't it? Please contact me and be specific. Thank you.
