Is QuickBooks down this afternoon, or is it just me?

Hey there, Whereismycoffee.

There hasn't been a reported outage. So more than likely there's something happening on your end. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue. Follow along below:

Step 1: Clear your browser’s cache

Your browser’s cache saves files on your computer to load websites faster on your next visit. But overtime, it also gets full with outdated files that may cause small issues.

It’s a good idea to clear cache from time to time. Follow the linked steps for your browser:

Note: Be sure to uncheck Cookies and other site data so you won’t get signed out of websites, including QuickBooks Online.

After clearing cache, make sure to restart your browser.

Step 2: Clear Intuit-specific cookies from your browser

Most of the time, you only need to clear your browser's cache. But if you keep having the same problem even after doing that, you can clear Intuit-specific cookies. This helps refresh website preferences that might be causing problems when you use QuickBooks.

Note: It’s important to only clear Intuit-specific cookies.

When you’re ready, follow the steps for your browser.

Google Chrome

  1. Select the Menu: button.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Select Site settings under Privacy and Security.
  5. Select Cookies and site data.
  6. Select See all cookies and site data.
  7. Type “intuit” in the search bar to find Intuit cookies.
  8. Select Remove.
  9. Restart Google Chrome for the changes to take effect.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Select the Open menu ≡.
  2. Select Preferences ⚙.
  3. Select Privacy Security.
  4. Select Manage Data under Cookies and Site Data.
  5. Type “intuit” in the search bar, and select Enter to find Intuit cookies.
  6. Select Remove All.
  7. Select Save Changes.
  8. Restart Mozilla Firefox for the changes to take effect.

Safari

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Select Safari beside the apple icon to the top left.
  3. Select Preferences.
  4. Select the Privacy.
  5. Select Manage website data.
  6. Type “intuit” in the search bar to find Intuit cookies.
  7. Select Remove all.
  8. Select Remove now.
  9. Select Done.
  10. Restart Safari for the changes to take effect.

If you're still experiencing issues after these steps, feel free to reach out here for further guidance. Thank you and have a nice afternoon.
