merchant service fees

Hello there, @the_tile_setters. I'll share some information about what happens when you reverse a payment in Merchant Services.

If you reverse your customer payments before the batch closes (before 3 PM), the processing fees will not incur. However, if you reverse a payment after the batch closes, it will incur the same processing fees as the original transaction.

For reference, check out this article: Void or refund transactions in QuickBooks Payments.

I also added this helpful resource that you can use to help you find transactions, deposits, or fees using your Merchant Service Center: Find transactions, deposits, or fees in the Merchant Service Center.

I'm always here ready to provide additional assistance if you have other concerns reversing payments in your Merchant Services account. Please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. Have a good one.

Thank you for getting back on this thread, @the_tile_setters.

I'm here to address your query about reverse payments.

Yes, the batch closes at 3 pm today. Since your customer reversal payments are processed before the batch closes, processing fees won't be incurred.

Please see this article for more choices of refunding transactions in the program: Void or refund transactions in QuickBooks Payments. It includes the steps if you want to print a receipt.

You can learn more about fees for transactions you void or refund with QuickBooks Payments by reading through this reference: Understand fees for refunds or void transactions.
